Could you share a link to the drawer dividers please - they sound useful and as I am about to have no fewer than FIVE standard drawers...oh hang on, no, make it six, I forgot one!...and two deep pan-drawer type ones, I could probably do with a means of dividing some of them! Honestly - the luxury of it - the most I've ever had in any kitchen is three I think in our old rental, and I seem to remember one of those wasn't useable as the front had been superglued in place to stop it falling off! (NOT by us!)

@EssexHebridean - you can find the dividers  here
They're not the cheapest drawer dividers sold on Amazon and are actually aluminium not stainless steel as I previously mistakenly mentioned, but still very sturdy - just make sure you measure your drawer properly as advised in the details so that you purchase the correct size. 👍

@beanielou - I couldn't believe the price too!  I keep thinking whether she got a quote for seriously expensive marble tops in error!😳

Another really hot sunny day here today although thankfully we had a breeze this afternoon which was welcome!  I popped out as I had to buy anniversary and wedding cards and was quite glad to get back home into the cool shade!  I'm afraid I don't do high temperatures anymore - I just don't feel comfortable. 🥵

This evening I was watching the new series on Netflix - At Home With The Furys - very entertaining!😂
Salmon, rice, broccoli and cherry tomatoes for dinner.

Out to lunch locally tomorrow with a former colleague.

Only purchase today was the cards.

My current electricity balance with Octopus was £81.54. The monthly debit has gradually been going down but I decided to make a one-off payment today to clear the account back to nil. As I still have my Winter Fuel payment in my Electricity pot I thought I would make use of some of these funds.

Another hot day today in Seasideville though it clouded over and cooled down a bit after lunch. Any rain is not forecast here till next Friday.  DSis and OH are flying off tomorrow morning to a wedding in Italy being held over the weekend. It's currently 100F over there!🥵

I met my friend lunchtime - we went to the nice charity cafe - she brought her little cross Jack Russell/dachshund dog as the cafe is pooch friendly -  really sweet little dog. I had jacket potato with cheese and beans and a slice of lemon drizzle sandwich cake. It was all delicious but no wonder my weight's not going down!😉

This afternoon I downloaded a historical book from kindle about Anne Boleyns's ladies in waiting (I'm a Tudor freak) - so that's me sorted for latest reading. I try to fluctuate between novels and non-fiction.

£2.49 for the book and I got lunch as my friend paid last time.

My travel insurance is coming up for renewal. Staysure was offering to renew for £62.77 which is £6 cheaper than last year. I've got pre-existing medical conditions so I went on some comparison sites and they all came in dearer than Staysure so I've renewed with them.

Staysure is good with preexisting conditions. We recommended them when I worked for a health related charity.

    Tum to your lunch  :)

    Thanks @doingitanyway - they've always appeared a good insurer.
The weather's turned today - a lot cooler, muggy and overcast. Storms and heavy rain were predicted last night for the South-East but we seemed to have missed it so far.
Today was housework day - dusting, hoovering and vacuuming this morning, plus Friday is towel and tea towel washing day here.  We have a really good bagel shop locally so I treated myself to a cream cheese and salmon for lunch. It was delish.
This afternoon I snuggled up on the sofa and finished my Anne Boleyn book I bought yesterday. I love an afternoon like that!
One negative - I made a mistake when I ordered the drawer dividers for my junk drawer. As I was about to open the box I realised I had ordered the pack with two long dividers instead of three - and I really need three!. So the box is going back, but when I went to order the three dividers they had sold out on Amazon and I can't find the particular size I want anywhere else online. 😡.
So I have ordered these instead. They won't be despatched till October at the earliest but I'll survive till then - at least I have a junk drawer now although it will be messy!  There are plenty of drawer dividers to buy online but I need those that also have the little inserts so I can divide into different sections. They are aesthetically pleasing too - which I like.

I bought my bagel and the dividers - although these were cheaper than the others I ordered previously so more MSE!😉

I also moved some cash over from the Marcus account to my current account as my monthly M&S credit card payment is due today and the balance is higher than usual this month owing to have to pay for all the Howden and new kitchen bits.

So the Lionesses didn't win ☹️, but never mind girls there's always next time - and you're still Euro champions!😀

Yesterday afternoon I went into the town to return a nightie to M&S I bought a few weeks ago - I purchased it online and when it arrived I really wasn't keen on it.  Whilst I was in the store picked up some brunch type bits (pain au chocolate, etc) as my friend was coming round to watch the match with me this morning. I also went to Boots to buy a couple of things to take with me when I go to Scotland later this week to dog sit for DD and OH. The town was quite busy being Saturday, but it's still not the greatest shopping experience compared to what it used to be. When I moved to the area from London as a teenager it was such a busy, smart high street - it had a great big family owned department store which sadly disappeared a few years ago. And when Debenhams went that really brought down the shopping mall. ☹️

So my friend popped round today and we watched the match - we had some Buck's Fizz that I made to go along with the bacon sarnies and pastries. I used cremant from Waitrose in the Buck's Fizz - this is the French sparkling wine that is made in the same way as champagne but can't call itself champagne because it's not produced in the Champagne region. This particular bottle was made in Bordeaux region and when I tasted it on its own it was lovely - much cheaper than champagne and I wished I hadn't diluted it for Bucks Fizz!🤪

There are a few air shows taking place in the south-east over the last week and most of the aircraft taking part (including the Red Arrows) are being stationed at our local airport. I've had quite a few aircraft flying over my flat in the last couple of hours - at a very low altitude it feels and very loud!😳✈️

    MSE SCRIMPY THINGS
Yesterday I had free transport to town as I used my Senior bus pass. I used a M&S voucher which gave me loyalty points of £5 off the food I bought - and I had enough Boots Advantage points to cover the articles there!😀👍

    Today is a NSD!
