I thought of you when I saw that the Reds, BBMF & Typhoon were all going to be based where they were for Eastbourne. We've had a couple of bits at our local airfield too including my pals with their Strikemaster jets so I popped over to see them on Saturday afternoon.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

If you liked that you will love Mr W's Cuvee Royal, Cremant de Limoux? I prefer that to actual champagne. Give it a try next time and let me know what you think.

I prefer cremant to champagne. I find most champagne has a weird aftertaste. We are on the flight path to a big airport and a small one so it can get quite noisy at times. The small one is for privately owned aircraft so we see a long of low flying propeller hobby type planes. The other day it was a WW2 bomber. For the big airport the planes turn before descending to the runway right above our house, sometimes it sounds like they’re going to land on the roof 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

We've got a big airport about 11 miles away - the aircraft on approach usually loop round us, but if the weather is bad they come straight over the top!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Thanks @EssexHebridean, @dawnybabes, @doingitanyway and @Sun_Addict. 😀 DIA - I'll give that cremant a try next time! Thank you for the tip!👍
On Monday I bought some faux eucalyptus twigs locally for the new pot stand I ordered a few weeks ago from Etsy. It's not arriving till I get back but it's very nice - slim with a deep oak finish on a black iron frame wrought in an Art Deco pattern. I have a very long slender black vase that will sit on top and the twigs will look very nice in this. Part of my slow flat renovation. 👍
On Tuesday I had coffee and cake with my friend at the charity cafe. It was a beautiful hot day and we decided to sit outside in their little outdoor garden area. My friend went in to order and the staff were very apologetic but asked her to pay up front instead of at the end as usual. They said they had instigated this just for the garden area as some people were now leaving through the gate before settling up their bill! You do wonder at some folk as this is a charity operated cafe!😡
Yesterday I flew up to Scotland - the flight went well and DD's OH met me at the airport and we also picked up my click and collect order at Tesco's on the way home. Change of weather though - grey and overcast when I arrived and it rained a bit later. Welcome to the Highlands! The Bears seemed pleased to see me though and the treats I brought them!
Anyhow I woke up this morning to sun then by late morning it clouded over and has drizzled all day. It's beginning to look brighter over on the horizon so perhaps it will stop now. The heather is out though and looks very pretty. When I was here last in the spring it was yellow gorse and foxgloves.
Tonight we have a Zoom call with DSis.DD and OH are here till Saturday and then are off for a week for DD's birthday trip so it will be just me and the Bears.MSE SCRIMPY THINGS
Spends have been the twigs, my share of the coffee and cake, lottery tickets, car fare to airport, breakfast at airport, chocolates bought at the airport for DD to take away for her birthday trip and Tesco order. I've also put some money over to DSis's account as my share of the deposit for a December trip we're going on with some friends. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thanks @beanielou,😀👍
So it's been the first day since I arrived here that it hasn't been teeming with rain. I got absolutely soaked yesterday whilst out with the dogs - it's a good job I've got all my tough, rainproof outdoor gear up here. It's still overcast and chilly though today - I've taken a chance and hung out some washing. I just hope it doesn't start with a deluge again and the washing gets 'a second rinse' as the locals say up here!😂Not a lot to report - DD and I popped over to see some of the neighbours on Friday afternoon - it was good to see them again and have a catch-up. She and OH drove off yesterday for their week away and I had a couple of workmen here finishing up some jobs in the house. This morning I've been dusting and hoovering plus washing down the kitchen cupboard doors as it was needed after the workmen. This afternoon I'm going to clean some appliances - microwave, fridge and coffee machine I think. One of the neighbours is bringing over his collie later and letting her out in the croft. This means the Bears get a good workout too as they all go mad and chase one another around!

Thanks @milann 😀
Again not a lot to report - the weather cleared a bit yesterday so I was able to hang out some more washing - then had to bring it in again later as there was another deluge! The weather forecast just lies all the time up here!😡. Still the neighbour and I managed to take the dogs out for a walk plus give them a run in the croft before the rain started again. It felt absolutely freezing last night so DD's OH turned on the heating for me remotely from his app! I can't remember when I last had the heating on in August - if ever!Yesterday I cleaned the living room - dusted, hoovered and steam mopped. Today I'm doing the downstairs hallway and the two downstairs guest rooms. This morning when I got up early to let the dogs out the sun was peeking out over the horizon. It didn't last long though - it's teeming again! Bears seem quite happy indoors at the moment though and are having a nap.MSE SCRIMPY THINGS
A NSD yesterday and it looks like another today. I've checked my bank and credit card accounts online as I do each day and all good there. All in all, what a boring diary entry this has been!😳Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
