I’ve got a HP printer and pay £1.99 a month for instant ink, they send new cartridges when the old ones run out included in the monthly fee.
This is what I have too.
    Works really well.

  • Thanks @Sun_Addict and @beanielou - I'm going to have a think about it. The space problem in my flat rears it's ugly head again - now that I have the digital printing shop in my road I may leave the printer until I move - which will be in the spring now.

On Monday night DD and I went to see the Aussie Floyd at our local theatre. They were as good as ever -  and finaled with a fantastic rendition of 'Comfortably Numb' - my favourite Pink Floyd track.  Roll on next year....😀

DD went back early the following day as she had to be in her office in the North for lunchtime. I was sad to see her go but will be spending a long weekend with her at the beginning of next month.

On Wednesday I went with two friends and DSis to the annual Christmas shopping event that we visit every year. We tried a different event this year which was held in North London rather than the usual show right over in West London which is always a pain for us getting home. We had mixed feelings about it - it was certainly a quicker, hassle free journey but the venue was a lot smaller so we estimated one lost a good third of the usual number of stalls.  Quite a few of the usual stalls were there but a couple of my favourites weren't, i.e. the lovely faux jewellery stall where I always seem to find something I like!  The food hall section wasn't half as good and a lot smaller - where at the other venue you could buy some tasty sausage cobs from the butchers to eat there and try a lot of samples from the stalls, there was nothing like that though I'm not sure whether this may have had something to do with Covid and health and safety. So we ended up finishing our mooching a lot earlier - the champagne bar was smaller and packed so we went around to the cafeteria where they were selling wine and had some drinks there then went back to the champagne bar when it had cleared out a bit!  So at least we didn't miss out on our alcohol!🤪😜🤪

So we're going to have a think about next year - one option is to see how much it would cost for a cab to pick us up and take us home from the usual venue. DSis has a good rapport with a local taxi firm near her work and gives them quite a bit of business. She may well be able to sort out a deal with them.

Yesterday and today have been quiet.  Housework and washing today and later I'm going to place my Ocado order.

    SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
Spends this week have been taxis, lottery, nails, Senior Rover train ticket to and from London, drinks and sandwich at the show.
At the show I treated myself to a Christmas cushion which was very Scandi (even though I wasn't going to buy any more!🙄), Christmas chocolates, some eco-friendly stretchy lids to cover food portions - they can be microwaved and last for several years, and some curry spice mixes.  Christmas present wise there I bought DD a stretchy lids pack as these will be right up her street, some bamboo socks for her OH, and chocs for a friend 's birthday next month.
I've also bought some boxer shorts that DD's OH really likes from Amazon as a Christmas gift.
Me-wise I've ordered a special hair towel from an online beauty site that really mops up the water without you having to rub your head hard as I think this will be beneficial for my 'new' hair. I had a special discount code for 30% off.

With regard to Money In - I got £15 from the dress agency today and £8 in loyalty vouchers arrived via my M&S credit card spends. 😀

  • Grey old day today in Seasideville but at least it's mild out there.
I'm off out for a walk soon and have a mooch down the high street to see what Christmassy things are in the shops.
Later on I'm going to break out the Bailey's and the Christmas playlist and begin wrapping those presents I have already bought.  It will be good to get these done, although we have decided to cut down a bit as a family. Friends-wise I only buy for one now as most of my other friends are retired and have grandchildren to buy for so it gets expensive.
I've got my booster jab next week so I'll get that done and dusted.
Tonight my Ocado order is arriving then I'll be watching Strictly with my feet up and rooting for AJ!💃

    SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
I ordered some chocolate as a present for DD's OH. He likes the Green and Black's milk with sea salt but is unable to find it locally. So I've bought him a pack of five bars from Amazon as I couldn't find it on Ocado either. 🤔
Christmas lunch this year is at DSis's SIL so I've bought her a tin of shortbread and a bottle of Asti Martini - (which is her fav tipple).  Both of these were on offer and will be delivered with my Ocado order.

Enjoy your day. Looking at the Christmas bits on the high street sounds lovely. I used to love having a Baileys when I wrapped Christmas presents/wrote cards but I seem to have lost my taste for it for some reason so no longer buy it. Same with mince pies, gone off them too, used to love them.

    Mild but grey here too.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Comfortably Numb is also my favourite Floyd song too 😊 I have bought bamboo socks for my daughters for Christmas,DD 2 always buys me a couple of pairs for Christmas so this year instead of buy both DDs socks from a store I bought Bamboo ones online ,they are so soft and wash really well 😊
I am obsessed with anything Nordic so wouldn't have been able to resist the cushion either 😀

  • @Sun_Addict - it's funny but I never drink Bailey's unless I'm wrapping Christmas presents or I'll have the odd tipple over the festive period. I just don't fancy it any other time!

@Onebrokelady - the bamboo socks are very cute - he doesn't really 'do' Xmas outfits but instead of Christmas socks I buy him those with things embossed on like alien heads!  This year the socks are black with lime green sports cars - he likes cars!
The cushion was from a Scandanavian company but has an American sounding name and feel as you will see below. The basic pattern is very Nordic though!

It sounds as if you’ve had a lovely time mooching your high street.
Love the cushion from the  Christmas show 👍 I was looking at some today but didn’t get them as I’m short on storage - no where to put them after Christmas 😟
