It’s Diwali as well as bonfire night so double whammy. Our local council have just passed a rule that fireworks must be quiet but obviously it’s too late for this year. I’m really thankful my dog and cat aren’t bothered by them. I know it can be very distressing for both animals and some people.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

I have to admit I love fireworks but do but do think they should only be allowed at organised events.
I’ve ordered dh birthday present and that is arriving by Royal Mail…..I hope they shape themselves as it’s his birthday Monday.
Your little shop sounds lovely 👍January spends - £587.581 -

Thanks @Sun_Addict and @milann!😃
I have to agree that fireworks should only be allowed organised events. The sort you can buy now are so powerful and noisy compared with the type (thinking those boxes of Standard fireworks) everyone's parents seem to buy years ago on Bonfire Night! I would hate to have had a nervous pet the other evening when the neighbours' fireworks were banging away outside!😱@Sun_Addict - your postal deliveries sound on a par with mine!
@milann - I hope your DH's parcel arrives in good time!
Yesterday I had a catch up coffee with a friend - she very kindly printed out some theatre tickets for me as I don't have access to a printer now I've retired. I must research some small printers for home use.I also bought some food bits in Tesco as DD arrived last night for the weekend. Plus a refill for my Stoneglow diffuser in my bathroom. I'm pleased that I can now buy refills for it and it's much cheaper than buying a new diffuser. 😃The cheese box arrived and is very yummy!Four really nice cheeses, oat cakes and plum chutney!😋
This is quite an early post for me today as DD and I are off to see the 'Mirror and the Light' at the West End soon and then meeting up with DSis and her OH for an early dinner.SCRIMPY MSE THINGS

Looks yummy…..just out of interest what will happen to the parcel that you didn’t receive - it won’t be of any use as it wasn’t refrigerated. Will it come to you or be returned to sender or will they destroy it?Have a lovely time at the theatre.January spends - £587.580

When I spoke to the cheese company @milann they said it had been returned to their depot. I'm presuming the cheeses will be destroyed although the oatcakes and chutney should still be ok.Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

The theatre performance yesterday was excellent - the whole cast were great, especially Ben Miles who has played the role of Thomas Cromwell over the whole trilogy of plays.I am also extra thankful that I'm not commuting to London anymore! We took the tube when we arrived in London to get to Piccadilly Circus as the theatre was nearby. It wasn't too bad crowd wise but only half on board were wearing masks. When we came out the theatre it was heaving around Piccadilly and as the restaurant where we were meeting DSis and her OH was back in the City we caught the tube again. OMG - travelling was awful!😱. Jammed packed and again half not wearing masks!
Anyway, we had a lovely meal - sat down at 6pm - got out just after 10pm! It was so nice for DD and DSis to catch up as they hadn't seen one another since May. DD was very generous and treated us all to the meal. 💕
Today we both had a bit of a lie-in and went out for a lunchtime pizza. My shot this time. I also popped into Superdrug for mouthwash, cotton pads and a new toothbrush for DD for her to keep here. We also went into the new artisan market as DD wanted to buy fresh berries. Well so much for me saying it was a cheap greengrocer! They wanted to charge £18 for a punnet of blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. DD said that she knows they're not exactly seasonal but she wasn't paying that! She has now gone up to Waitrose before it closes to buy them!
When she gets back we're going to slob out and watch last night's Strictly!💃
