Awww - thank you so much guys!😘
Not much to report here at the moment We have had a dump of snow this morning which has settled - but since then we had a bit of sun and just now had a hailstorm! Bitterly cold still. So I still haven't been out though DD has managed to get out for a bit of a walk with her two large hairy dogs known here as The Bears! Bear1 who is the biggest and hairiest has also been very happy lying outside in the snow and had to be coaxed in eventually via a treat!
My back is still pretty much the same after a week and a bit - my friend suggested I may have damaged my coccyx which takes time to heal. I'm definitely booking a MRI scan for when I get back.Just been reading today - I went to Venice on an art trip in November and loved it so I'm rereading all Donna Leon's Inspector Brunettii novels. I forgot how much I enjoyed them. They take me right back to Venice!❤️

it was a NSD yesterday but today I invested in a coccyx cushion from Amazon! It won't arrive till next week though but I do think I'll find it beneficial. And I had a nice little win on the PBs. £75 to add to the Holiday Fund!😀👍
WEIGHT
i won't be weighing myself till I get back home to my own scales. As it's been the Christmas holidays I have let myself go a bit up here what with mince pies and goodies but DD likes to cook healthily and the last few days she's been making good use of the leftovers and I've had some nice meals. I have a Turkish style biryani type dish this evening which looks delicious. And she's made some Cranachan using a really tasty Christmas compote with dates instead of the usual raspberries. 😋
I must admit though my appetite has faded a bit since my fall so don't feel the need to scoff sweet stuff so much. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I badly bruised my coccyx years ago when unknown to me my children had removed the stitches from a deckchair 🤷♀️ I sat down and fell straight through hitting the patio with a bump and badly bruising it. For some reason my GP thought it was hilarious 😐 It took a while to get better.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Happy New Year……sorry to hear about the fall. It makes sense to get an MRI scan if it’s no better by the time you get home.
I’m another that can verify lower back injury can take a long time to heal. When I first went out with my now Dh…48 years ago now 😯😯 I went ice skating for the first and only time and landed on my backside……thank goodness the skater coming at speed behind me was proficient as they jumped right over me instead of ploughing into me 😯😯 I don’t know how I got to work the following morning, but I did, as i didn't want to tell my dad I’d been ice skating, which wasn’t allowed with the brittle bone condition I have 🫣 Anyway after dropping everything I picked up in the kitchen as I couldn’t stand straight I was sent to A&E (I was a chef in a hospital kitchen) was sent home in an ambulance as I had a Y shaped fracture in my sacrum…..a bone in the base of the spine 🥴🥴 I was off work a couple of months and I’d only just started the job😳
We've had a slight covering of snow….nowhere nearly as bad as forecast ……but enough to make it lethal when it freezes.January spends - £587.583 -
Thank you @doingitanyway!😀
@Sun_Addict and @milann - yes I think it's going to be a bit of a long job! Funnily enough SA that's exactly how I felt when hitting the ground! As if I'd gone to sit down and someone pulled the chair away! My back is still very sore and painful but has improved slightly as I was able to do some light housework today. Pilates is well and truly out though this week!
Hello again from a very snowy Highlands!❄️ We have had lots of snow and expecting some more tonight and tomorrow! I glad I'm not flying home today as all the flights were cancelled. Plus earlier a neighbour tried to drive to the village but had to abandon his car halfway up the lane as he got stuck! I saw him trudging back home through the snow - luckily he had his walking poles to help him! We were expecting some friends who live in one of the neighbouring villages over for lunch but they had to cry off because of the snow. 🤷♀️
So another reading day and I caught up with some YouTube channels that I follow.I've also been carrying out some digital admin whereby I've been unsubscribing to unwanted emails as they come in. Also been going through my emails and deleting some and adding the rest to folders - which is a long overdue job! I also brought my 2025 wall calendar up to Scotland with me as DD always buys me a new one as a Christmas present. I've transferred all the birthdays and other annual events to my 2026 calendar plus any events and regular appointments that I know I have coming up. I do keep all these on my phone but I like a nice wall calendar to refer to as well. Angela Harding's calendar is my one of choice as I find her nature artwork beautiful.MSE SCRIMPY THINGS

HNY SSG - and ouch to your back, treat yourself kindly, take painkillers if needed (and assuming you can tolerate them) and as others have said get it checked out if it's not better or at least on the way there by the time you get home.
