Hello, hope all’s good with you after your recent bereavement. I’m just popping in to say a big thank you. Years ago, something you posted made me see that using something to death could detract majorly from an outfit. This was what informed the sorting of hold ups and pop socks, etc. yesterday. I just wanted you to know that some of your comments continue to resonate positively.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 11st 12lb determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Wishing everyone a very happy New Year and prosperity and good health to all!❤️🥳🎉And thank you very much to everyone who has posted on my diary in my absence - it's lovely to come back and read your messages. 😘
I don't usually make New Year resolutions as I rarely carry them out - I however want to make 2026 the year where I do keep up with my diary so here goes!🫣
I'm currently staying at DD's place in the Highlands for Christmas and New Year and go home on the 11th. We had a lovely relaxing Christmas Day and then I fell down heavily straight onto my backside on Boxing Day and have been creeping around like an Old Crock ever since. It is slowly improving but I think it's going to take time to get back to normal. I feel quite frustrated as I now can't practice my Zoom Pilates whilst I'm like this. I can't help around the house very much also as bending is difficult at the moment. So I've been reading and watching the box more, but of course this doesn't help my back that much but there's not a lot I can do.🤷♀️. The weather is pretty grim up here at the moment - e.g. we've had sleet, a five minute snow blizzard and rain all in the course of one morning today - plus really strong winds that doesn't exactly make me want to try and go out for a walk to help my back!
Anyhow enough about that!
I did finish my 30 day house blitz which I was carrying out when I last made my diary entries. I will probably do this exercise again at the beginning of spring.MSE SCRIMPY THINGS
I reviewed my YNAB categories today as it's the beginning of the new year. Not a lot to really revise or update here. I think I have categories and budget for most things that I spend money on. I've allowed 10% more on monthly budgets now going forward to take care of inflation and rising costs. It's been a NSD today as my monthly DDs which come out on the 1st of the month don't come out of my account till tomorrow now as it's a Bank Holiday today. Also nothing to spend on either as we're not going out today for any reason.I've made a nice amount from Vinted over the months from selling my oversized summer and winter clothing. I will also have quite a few bits of last summer's clothing to sell once spring arrives as these are sizes 20 and 18.WEIGHT
My weight has actually gone really well over the past couple of months. It's certainly slowed down but just before I left my Scotland I'd lost 7 stone 2lbs in total overall which I'm over the moon about! That has been over sixteen months so nice and slow and steady. My original target was to lose another 1 1/2 stone but to be honest I might just try and lose another 7lbs and see how I feel. I'm currently in a size 16 down from a 24/26 and as I'm tall this makes me look slim. I do want to fit into an old trouser suit that I've not been able to wear for years - it's still very tight on me at the moment so once it fits then I think I'll stop. The Mounjaro has been such a wonderful aid - I'm currently reducing my doses - I'm down to a 5mg pen from a 12.5mg which was the highest dose I used. The food suppression is not as strong as when I started Mounjaro but my portion size has really reduced. However my chocolate and sweet urges have revived so I'm always going to have to watch this. I basically don't buy these now to keep in the house and only have cake and desserts when I'm out.Anyhow that's my update! I'm off to catch up with diaries which is going to take me quite a while!😳Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
