Hi Sorry for not getting back on this earlier , so at the hearing had a rep from the parking company come up , the fact that I didn't submit any further evidence like mentioned in previous post did not matter that much ,  it could have gone either way as I argued about the signage and the extenuating circumstances , in the end he struck off spurious claims but did ask me to pay a reduced amount which came out to be £150. So it seems it is not a confirmed win always , anyways I would like to thank you for all the advice regarding this. I definitely learnt something from the experience.

Thanks for the update.  Worth defending then. You cost them about double that sum!

Hope you paid in full - no CCJ.

Horrible scam bullying though, to put you through all this.  Most people (sadly) just pay.

Hope you are also coming back to take part in the upcoming Government Public Consultation on ending rip-off parking charges?  Anticipated over this Summer.

It is vital that the Govt hears the voice of motorists, because the private parking sector itself is (and has been) playing dirty to try to maintain the status quo (and the obscene profits that go with it) to allow them to continue their unabated feeding frenzy, gorging on motorists daily. In the past year they have issued 11 million tickets, a business now worth in excess of £1billion!

Hi @Coupon-mad yes I did pay, no CCJ , yes I will be happy to contribute to the public consultation , since this event I have had 2 other fines one I got cancelled by complaining to the retailer where I was shopping, the other one is going to County claim stage, for that one I will open another thread & it is again a ridiculous charge on by MET parking for using my own gym's car park as a member , such a ridiclous way of trying to rob paying customers!!
