iWeb

I like iWeb. I've had my ISA with them for last 3 years. I've had no trouble at all. They seem cheap and cheerful but suit my needs. Admittedly an App would be nice but not essential.
However I recently came across the Trustpilot reviews of iWeb and was quite surprised by how much of a kicking they got.
I need to open a new ISA for my wife. I had been planning to use iWeb. Having seen these reviews I am having second thoughts. The main issues appear to be poor customer service/ delays in answering phones/ delays in getting money paid out.
Has anyone on the forum experienced these problems? Any thoughts about potential issues with iWeb. I've been a happy customer.

I use them.  It's all fine when it doesn't go wrong.  I did have to call when a transfer in was slow and it took ages to get through, but when I did they were quite knowledgeable.  I have therefore started putting more into my accounts with them, on the grounds that the customer service is uniformly bad in the entire sector, and they seem no worse - but cheaper once you've paid the £100 - than anyone else.

People complaining about delays getting money paid out don't seem to realise that the "cash" shown in your account isn't actually cash you can withdraw until all the relevant trades have settled, which may be some time after the cash is made available to you to trade.

If you're already with iWeb, I'd trust you're own experience of said company rather than strangers on a review site.

I've been with iWeb for three years. I use them for my S&S ISA and I also have a general investment account with iWeb. Yes, the website is basic looking but it's perfectly functional and does the job.  I've had to contact them by 'phone twice in the time I've been with iWeb  and on both occasions, the call was answered quickly and my query was addressed.

I've had an Iweb ISA for 6 years, never had a problem.
Dividends arrive in my bank account 4 working days after dividend day.  This is considerably better than other ISA managers I've known.

Thanks everyone. I did wonder if I was putting up with some sort of cheap shoddy service and not recognising it. I'm glad to hear that others have had the same experience as me. A reasonable product at a great price. My wife has HL and Vanguard ISA's as well and I certainly don't seem them as having a particularly better interface or functionality.
I'm going to open another iWeb account in my wife's name this afternoon.

Again had them for years, no problems. Early on actually added some funds I inquired about. No frills, but there are plenty of free websites with more detail info if you want to investigate funds minutely. Saved a bomb on fees with them. Perhaps they don't pay their employees to put glowing reviews on Trustpilot like many do?
