Vanguard doesn’t give you the option to go to the fund your holding and add more cash or invest more into it. You have to click
portfolio- invest- choose fund- say how much- enter card details

That seems to be answering a question that wasn't asked?MFW2026 said:Vanguard doesn’t give you the option to go to the fund your holding and add more cash or invest more into it. You have to click

As another Vanguard Newbie, slowly learning the ropes...
I am transferring my previous years from my HSBC 'loyalty' ISA, that is just sitting 'pending' at the moment, hopefully will change in due course. But have now added 16k into a VLS60 from a Santander account with a miserable 0.01%. Getting it out of Santander was a lot easier than getting it into Vanguard, 16k on my debit card and HSBC didn't even flinch. I bought the VLS60 yesterday morning and it is showing completed this evening - already increased more than 0.01%!
I think others are right, just keep an eye on how what you have bought is doing and check now and again for any secure messages. (I wish they would email you to say you have a pending message but it seems they don't).

Unfortunately you didn’t pick the best day to buy yesterday
I think I’m right in saying it was at its highest price - ever!0 -
With a general upward trend for most collective investments, you'd expect all-time highs not to be remarkable events and to happen relatively frequently....ranciduk said:Unfortunately you didn’t pick the best day to buy yesterday

It might be worth having a look at your account settings. Sorry can't pinpoint exactly where you need to look, but since I have always received an email to warn me whenever I have a secure message, I assume if you're not getting these it must be your settings:spenderdave said:I think others are right, just keep an eye on how what you have bought is doing and check now and again for any secure messages. "You have received a new secure message from Vanguard. To view the message log into your account and navigate to the inbox."
