Thanks for input, in floor plan, there are other 2 storages too apart from storage under staircase. I am thinking to merge all space to accommodate all this , not sure how big would it be since I have still not got house.AdrianC said:This is a space that's about a metre deep and maybe 4m long, with restricted head-height for much of that length due to being under the stairs.
 It'd be a thoroughly poky cloakroom/loo/handbasin. A shower? For garden gnomes, perhaps.0

As AdrianC said, it will be about 1m by 4m - probably a little less because you'll need walls.
Another factor to think about is if you've got gas and electric meters in the understairs cupboard (very common). Getting those moved out to claim that space for your bathroom would be expensive, and possibly involve moving your consumer unit as well.

Good point, i will check if meters are there or nothing. How much would it cost to have wc , shower ?Section62 said:User4search said:

Ypur idea is good but I am not sure if i would want to consume all of space for bath room as you highlighted above. There is boiler behind chimney and water tank just above proposed door at first floor in your plan so will have to think on that once I move in. ThanksIndigo_and_Violet said:Are you planning to convert the whole space into a bathroom and have access to the kitchen through the lounge? Like the picture below?
Space would be 1.19m wide and maybe 3.5m long. You should be able to fit a shower, loo and small sink in there depending on any height restrictions from the stairs. 0 0

Kitchen was already extended 20 years back .it was under permitted extension guidelines it seems but no planning g permission was requested. So I don't know if I would able to do further extension at rear . This house has lot of side space but I did not measure it how much is it. You would probably park 2 cars side by side in side space of house .I would not park car there I am just telling how much side space would be by giving you an example.Deleted_User said:The space you are referring to in the floorplan doesn't look nearly big enough to contain a bath or shower
You are also severely underestimating the need for that storage space.
Is there no scope for an extension? . .
This house i corner plot and next to it is road and small round about at front of house. I am not sure if side extension would raise issue . But I have different plan for side extension.0
