I don't suppose you know who the executor is for the trustee's estate??
I'd keep an eye on probate records to see if it's applied for.
Your daughter is (probably) a creditor!!How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 3.24% of current retirement "pot" (as at end December 2025)2 -
another very good point - can imagine there might be some other debts on the estate thoughSea_Shell said:I don't suppose you know who the executor is for the trustee's estate??

No, unfortunately both trustees lived in social housingKeep_pedalling said:You mentioned in an earlier thread that one of the trustees was showing off her garden make over on Facebook, which would suggest she owned the property was that not the case?1 -
Thank you for updating. I've thought about this thread many times as your daughter is a similar age to mine. I am so sorry that it hasn't got a positive outcome.1

Unfortunately trusts for minors are very vulnerable to dishonest and incompetent trusties and your daughter had one of each. Normally the trustees of an estate don’t really want to be involved once the estate has been wound up and hand over trustee responsibilities to the minors parents a shame it did not happen in this case.1

Just re-reading all this thread in light of the update and you've said that one of the trustees you'll never even see in court due to their recent death, and that neither trustee has any assets but does the other trustee go to court?xylophone said:There are two trustees, the new partner and her friend but we have only ever dealt with the friend. Both are equally responsible for the management of the Trust.
Perhaps they took the advice of a solicitor on setting up the Trust and are now waiting for his advice on winding it up?
