I use about 45 Mb of data per month it is only used when I am out mainly shopping. I have a 500 Mb per month tariff but don't use one months data in a year plus I could possibly cancel my £6 monthly contract and use PAYG. I was thinking of cancelling the monthly contract but it seems that the usage would be £48 for data and about £25 for text messages over the year, a total of £73 per year so it's just cheaper to pay the £6 per month.
I only use the phone for the Lidl Plus and the texts and calls to daughters plus the odd phone call last one was over 30 minutes to DWP so at 10p per minute it would have cost over £3Someone please tell me what money is0 -

I use 100-150MB mobile data a month.
I 'pay' £6 a month for unlimited calls and texts and 500MB of data.
Thanks to giffgaff's payback reward scheme since paying for my first month in May 2020 with 'real money', payback reward (paid out twice a year) has more than covered my monthly charges.

I think these tariffs are for people who don't have a landline, so you should include any home wifi in your figures.

I have 20GB of data on my phone and never go over my usage. I have my 4G on all the time and use my phone regularly but still haven't gone over it yet. If you don't use your phone that often I would go for less but around 20-25GB I would say is plenty.
If they are offering you 160GB a month that is a lot and you could get less GB for cheaper and you would still have enough data to last you.0 -
The data is not much charged by cellular companies in our country
