He thinks wow double the data for only an extra £10......but then checks his data usage for last year and sees he was only using 4GB a month

During recent months stuck at home mobile data usage has been virtually zero as I'm on wifi most of the time - just checked my most recent bill and used 350 MB. Even during normal times my data usage was almost never over 2-3 GB a month. The only times it has been higher is when I have been in a hotel without free wifi where is can be cheaper to use mobile data.

I totally agree - what's the point in paying for something that you don't use - even if it is very cheap ?

My tariff includes 8 Gb.  I never go over.  Sometimes go near.

I suspect the Vodafone 160 Gb is marketing the idea that you can just use mobile data and no need for broadband wired service.

So far this month* I've used 0.4GB of my 6GB allowance. Last month I think I used about 1.4GB, but that was high versus recent times as we had a break away.

* My billing cycle is 21st to 20th

I really do not use data services right now because I'm always connected to WiFi, but when I was frequently going out before the pandemic, my average was around 10gb per month.

According to Netflix you use 4.5Gb data for every 2 hours streaming, 1 film a day not rocket science is it.

Whilst were at it i use 0.1gb on mobile, who knows on home broadband its unlimited and will not show up.
