Britannia Parking & BW Legal

Hello, I urgently need help please. I received 3 parking tickets from BP in October last year that I objected. After my initial appeal I didn’t hear from them until I received post from BW legal acting on their behalf. I told them I have contested these tickets and didn’t receive a response. Britannia are claiming this response was sent via email however I have NEVER received said email. I asked them for new POPLA codes as I hadn’t received any or was willing to pay no more than £20.00 per fine as I read that this is what you could be charged for incorrect plate number. They have refused this all demanding £100 per PCN threatening to take me to court for a CCJ. I explained to them that I can’t deal with their stress as I have had a lot of recent breavements and as well as recovering from COVID of which they have ignored. I’m not sure where to go from here as I have tried everything to work with them but they are claiming my time to appeal with POPLA has expired and they won’t issue me new codes despite me saying I never received further correspondence from them. They only sent this via email. What can I do please as I had actually paid to park on all 3 occasions it was just my plate number and I have even offered to pay admin charges which they all refused.

Complain to the British Parking Association as Britannia are one of their members. There is a complaints portal on the BPA website. Best you can hope for are new POPLA codes, but I wouldn't hold out much hope, but, unless you ask, you'll never get. When did you receive the BWL letter? Does it give you a deadline by when to respond, is that 14 days or 30 days? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Does it give you a deadline by when to respond, is that 14 days or 30 days?I have made an official complaint with BPA, Britannia have now refused to deal with me. BW legal have said they will not put anything on hold despite me complaining to BPA (they are point blank ignoring me complaining to them) they have literally refused to give out POPLA codes. BW legal have now given me 14 days to pay this £100 per pcn which I think is totally unfair as I had actually paid to park it was just the plate number (I was so stressed my MIL was dying and I put the same number 3 times). I have gone through all the stages with BW legal they sent me ‘pre court forms’ which I opted to appeal. Now they are saying there’s nothing further. But:
1) I actually paid to park it was just wrong number
2) I appealed to Britannia and never received a reply via email as they claim
3) I have requested for new POPLA codes which they have refused.
4) I have offered to pay £20.00 per PCN for admin charges as stated by some guidance I read regarding wrong plate number.
if it was to go to court where would I stand ? They have refused everything I have said.1 -

Please take a breath these are not fines they are speculative invoices by greedy bullies that run around in Range Rovers, Mercs and have villas on the Med off the backs of people that pay up.Britannia won't reply to you as they have given the file over to their useless debt collector and their no win no fee contract means they wont do anything until the debt crawlers throw in the towel. They won't give you a POPLA code now the boat has sailed wait for the reply from The BPA follow the guidance on here, don't go begging to Britannia or debt collectors if they think they are stressing you out they will do it more, it's how they screw money out of victims.4

BW legal have now given me 14 days to pay this £100 per pcn,
A 14 day letter is a begging letter to ignore. If you get a 30 day Letter Before Claim then come back here
Are you sure it's £100 per ticket they are asking for as BWLegal add fake charges of £60 per ticket
Who are BWLegal say they are claiming for ?? The name of the company ?
Britannia have a problem knowing who they are as they have numerous companies but ... every one is a separate entity meaning from the sign to to the ticket and right through to BWLegal the name must be same
Have a look at the names they use ....

Can you go back and take a picture of the sign ?

Please don't stress out, take a breath and listen & follow the advice from the regulars on here.
Do your research & you will soon find out what these companies are all about & you will have the support you need on here.
Read my post "Britannia Parking" and you will soon find out how they mess up right from the start, with the knowledge on here it took me 10min to figure out their first mistake.3 -

POPLA is an organisation paid for by The BPA which is an organisation paid by subscriptions from PPC's go figure how independent that actually is.Trading Standards has been cut to the bone and is no longer on direct access from the public Citizens Advice are the gatekeepers now they really have bigger fish to fry, and CAB are as much use as a chocolate fire guard with private parking I'm afraid. However the more complaints that are logged the better, otherwise someone somewhere brags we get few complaints about private parking the public support us in what we do.4
