  • If you're saying your service with plusnet hasn't started yet I can't see any issues there as you'll have a xx days cancellation period even after it starts anyway

If there was no broadband/internet on the line before, or the line was previously with an LLU supplier such as Talk Talk, Easynet/Sky etc, or the line is moving From ADSL to FTTC ( sold as "fibre") then that can slow things down a little irrespective of who the supplier is

Plusnet do have a user forum, and it sometimes gets results see here: https://community.plus.net/t5/Forum/ct-p/Forum

As for the router, the one supplied by plusnet is basic and has a few issues ( plusnet isnt unique with this) the best place for it is to keep it in its box, and use your own equipment, i use a TP link Archer VR2800 ( cheaper models are available) again see what others are using on the plusnet forums

theres a guide to setting up a router/modem on the plusnet site here: https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/broadband-connection-settings/

using your own router means that you should have better/faster wifi and it should be more configurable to suit your needs

again i would advise looking at the plusnet forums and asking for help there that might get a response form plusnet Customer service

And as for the slow response - this seems to be common amongst all sorts of things and company's where at best you keep getting a default message, if people were kept up to date with whats happening and why, even if it delves into technical talk then at least you would be informed and have some sort of an idea on whats going on and why
