I don't mind if Tescos treble everyone's prices because Every Little Helps.

This is just a deflection to take focus away from the real supermarket scandal

If it was not for Tesco we would have starved in lockdown. They are the ONLY supermarket that delivers in this area.
Surely after eating all the food in your home, then going without food for several days (or possibly weeks) you would have ventured out into the real world to visit a food shop?

You must know their personal circumstances then?
Could it be, like many people and for whatever reason, they are unable to venture out into the real world (as you so nicely put it) and rely on home deliveries to survive.

People survived for a long time before supermarkets, let alone supermarket delivery. The government and local councils also offered a food delivery service for those who had no friends or family, no delivery slots and no local voluntary assistance groups. I helped out with the local assistance group, delivering food to elderly and shielding people and whilst they were all grateful for the help as it allowed them to remain away from a risk of Covid, in the early period when many thought it was far deadlier than it is, they all would have gone and bought food, rather than starving at home, if that is what it would have come to.

Us consumers need to Vote and I suggest we all Vote with our feet and stop going to Tesco stores, they are abusing their powers.
I just like to add, Tesco has done away with Self Service Cash payments on their in store machines so now you can only pay by card and not cash.
This consumer is not going to vote with her feet unless you provide proof that Tesco are indeed abusing their powers and proof that the claims in your post are true.

I was not convinced that your 'Royal Mail refund scam' was actually a scam by Royal Mail.

Tesco is the Biggest Grocery Buisness in the UK, which is all good and well, however the Government and Tesco's have come to an arrangement whereas instead of the Government overlooking the Grocery market they had said to Tesco that they have total control on Pricing.
Therefore Tesco has Government authorisation to "Price Fix".
Tesco are indeed doing this to such a high degree that every other Supermarket chain has to price their products in line with Tesco's.
This has been the case for a number of years and Now Tesco is quite literally abusing their power and privileges.
Over the past 5 years, Tesco has doubled the price of all their products, and not only that but they have put less ingredients into every product, as an example 5 Jam Donuts are now 4 Jam Donuts and price increase from 58 pence to £1.
They have also doubled the amount of size on all Branded products, example 100grams of Nescafe Coffee is now 200grams of Nescafe coffee, Tesco has done this so they are able to "Price-Fix" without the consumer Noticing.
The only reason inflation is taking effect is not due to the Government it's due to Tesco ripping us all off.
Tesco does Not care about their customers, they only care about taking our money. Their profits are through the roof.
Tesco has a store In every single town in the country and therefore bully their way in and shut other smaller businesses down with no regard for any of them.
Tesco can not be held accountable for their actions because the government has allowed a Free-For-All to take place.
Us consumers need to Vote and I suggest we all Vote with our feet and stop going to Tesco stores, they are abusing their powers.
I just like to add, Tesco has done away with Self Service Cash payments on their in store machines so now you can only pay by card and not cash.
Sorry a complete rant with over the top baseless accusations and not the way to go about changing people’s individual decision making. Like any bad toxic relationship just end it.

Shop elsewhere and get on with enjoying life.

If you want to get even angrier at Tesco, I'd recommend the book 'Tescopoly' by Andrew Simms.

It's no secret that to get as big as Tesco (or Amazon, or Walmart/Asda or Apple) you have to be at least a little bit evil - but if I didn't shop anywhere a bit evil, or buy any products that are a bit evil then there'd be very few options left!

I suspect it's more a case that any business that becomes as large and dominant as Tesco (or Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, etc) is automatically deemed to be evil.  Just for becoming large and successful.

Especially in the UK where we seems to have a particular distrust of anything or anyone successful . . . . with little or no consideration of how they became successful in the first place - ie, by doing something consumers actually want.

I guess the only explanation is that all us consumers are too stupid to know when a large and successful company is behaving in a way we don't like.  Or are not supposed to like.  Or shouldn't like.  Simply because they are large and successful.

We should all be grateful that the tin-foil-hat brigade OP has provided a pointless rant thoughtful and well-reasoned argument to help us see the errors of our ways.  ;)

Please provide a reliable source for this "agreement" which is fundamental to the whole content of your concern.

So now I have to boycott Tesco as well as Sainsburys, ASDA, Lidl, Aldi, Iceland and Spar ... why?

Because Waitrose or M&S are obviously better and get you round the Tesco price fix.

Only if you are lucky, the last, and only, pack we purchased had 1 missing, when we noticed my wife sad "You're not sending an email".

Bit cakey for my liking, Morrisons ones are nice though.
They probably did you a favour. Donuts are full of nothing but carbs, calories, sugar and heart attacks. Yum.
If eating around 6 donuts a year is going to kill me, so be it.
If that's all you eat in a year, then you need to eat more to avoid malnutrition.

Darn I forgot to include M&S which I was asked to boycott a few years back (and never did).  You are correct, I still have access to Waitrose (yay) if I was willing to do the 100+ mile each way trip (boo).  I have decided to suck up somebody else's faux morals and continue to use Tescos.  :)
