We have just moved and now use Asda instead of Tesco. I find them much the same and simply cannot understand why we have over 50 strawberry jams on the shelves but cannot get things like fresh chicken liver or lambs kidneys which are in several popular recipies.
ASDA will not have enough demand for liver or kidneys to make them stock those items on a regular basis, if there was enough demand then they would stock them.
Plus the roll back is a con, Yeo Valley fruit yoghurt is on roll back at £1.25 where does that come from? It is £1 in Tesco with clubcard.
The Roll Back is a discount from ASDA's previous price, which would have been higher than £1.25. Tesco are offering a discount down to £1, which has no bearing on ASDA's pricing.
However overall the weekly bill is about the same in both supermarkets.
That is largely the same for all the big supermarkets, Tesco, Sainsbury's ASDA and Waitrose main stores on any given week will be within a few percentage points of each other on a standard basket. They will often run different offers to try and gain business, or price match deals to try and take business off of, or to negate a competitors offer etc.

Only if you are lucky, the last, and only, pack we purchased had 1 missing, when we noticed my wife sad "You're not sending an email".

Bit cakey for my liking, Morrisons ones are nice though.
They probably did you a favour. Donuts are full of nothing but carbs, calories, sugar and heart attacks. Yum.

If eating around 6 donuts a year is going to kill me, so be it.

I just like to add, Tesco has done away with Self Service Cash payments on their in store machines so now you can only pay by card and not cash.
I went to Tesco 2 hours ago and paid with cash on a self-service machines....yes, some of the machines were flagged as 'card only' but not all.
I also haven't noticed a large increase in prices, some will be expected depending on source country and post-Brexit taxation but I picked up 00 flour which I had previously purchased in the last 6 months for £1.50 now 30p (not flagged as reduced/special)
I don't see evidence of other supermarkets matching Tesco pricing...depending on product, some are cheaper, others are more expensive...I am certainly not prepared to pay more elsewhere to boycott Tesco and if another supermarket is selling the same product cheaper I will buy from the other supermarket....customer choice.

If you want to get even angrier at Tesco, I'd recommend the book 'Tescopoly' by Andrew Simms.

It's no secret that to get as big as Tesco (or Amazon, or Walmart/Asda or Apple) you have to be at least a little bit evil - but if I didn't shop anywhere a bit evil, or buy any products that are a bit evil then there'd be very few options left!
