Tar Remover

Hi,
I have been using AutoGlym Tar remover and I have noticed that the tar remover isn’t removing all of the tar spots I have on my car- even the little specs.
When I apply the tar remover onto the car I do so with a microfibre cloth. However, the tar spots never seem to streak/run down like you see on some pictures online.
I leave it on for around 2-5 minutes before I wipe off and wash the car afterwards.
Am I doing anything wrong? Or can anyone recommend any other brand ?

I had a silver car with tar spots along front doors.
WD40 was all it needed.0 -
Autoglym is ok but not brilliant. The best you can get is Autosmart Tardis, I'd also recommend Carchem Tar & Glue remover. Both are very strong and will work in seconds.0

Tardis is superb
I soak a cloth in it, then wipe the cloth over the panels and let it soak a bit.
As soon as it starts streaking, they come off no problem.
We've 2 x white cars at home, de-tarring is so satisfying.1 -
A dab of petrol does the trick.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.1

WD40 should work. Also that waterless wax stuff is quite good at tar spot removal.

I find I need to use my index finger with a cloth/ washing glove when removing tar spots. It’s a long job.Mortgage free

It is when you're doing it wrong and without the correct product.sheslookinhot said:I find I need to use my index finger with a cloth/ washing glove when removing tar spots. It’s a long job.0 -

Tardis doesn't, but you obviously rinse the car straight after anyway.Arsenal2019 said:
