I'm sure its just bad luck for me - but hoping someone might have some words of advice! I completed the forms for the 3rd SEISS grant - printed out the last page as proof I had submitted it. A few weeks passed and I still hadn't received my money and so I checked. Turns out I got to the second to last page of the form online and didn't actually press submit......so i have proof I tried but just didn't press the last button. HMRC have just said tough luck basically. So I have missed out on all that money that I was completely relying on. Does anyone know who I might contact? Its not like I just didn't do it on time, it was a genuine mistake and I printed out the page which shows this. Thank you

Unfortunately I believe the rules and lenience on SEISS are very tight - so you'll have a job convincing them.
The best you can hope for is that there's a process for this, but to the letter they don't have to do anything as you didn't submit your claim.0 -
As the deadline has now gone there's nothing you can do unfortunately.

The 4th SEISS grants are available from today, (22nd April) if you are eligible I would concentrate on them.0

Did you get a claim reference ?0

How is that possible when the claim wasn't even submitted so no claim was actually made.

I’ve done exactly the same thing, paid on time and even filled in the survey on how was my experience today. At no point did I see or get directed to the submit button. And then I get an email to say I’m not eligible to the grant or the 5th grant now as my return was late. Hmrc are very good at sending letters when they want something from you but no contact to inform me that my payment had been taken but the last finish button had not been pressed. Seems a really unfair rule and from what I’ve been told by them on the phone call that also cost me £9 is that this is a very common problem that has happened.1

The SUBMIT button has always been there.
If you do not get the SUBMISSION CONFIRMATION page and associated email then it's obvious that you have not done all you need to do.

They say that I haven't submitted either, yet I know I did as I have paid what was asked, they've said I am owed a credit which I've never had before and I have had no indication that I'm late or will be fined.Beginning to think they have a glitch!Honorary Northern Bird bestowed by AnselmI'm a Board Guide and volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly on Special Occasions, Green/Ethical, Motoring/Overseas/UK Travel & Flood boards, it's not part of my role to deal with reportable posts.
