Hi MM62.I bet the EA is as (nearly) p****d-off as your daughter is. If your daughter can speak to the one she dealt with, she could ask along the lines "I guess the reason for this is confidential, but so that I am more clued up the next time, can you give me possible reasons why this would happen? Hmm, uh-huh, I see. And of these, which is the most, er, likely or common...?"4

As others are saying, the story doesn't really add up. it seems like somebody (i.e. the seller, the EA or your daughter) isn't telling the whole story, or has misunderstood something.

Not my daughter she has been talking to solicitor this afternoon about it who has been talking to EA Apparently he has now said if he doesn't sell it a week she can have it..strange...but daughter is already got viewings for a couple of houses already..

He's got next to no chance of selling it in a week. Contrary to what some people think on here, conveyancing takes time. It's not as simple as handing over money and getting the keys.

Vendor is clueless if he thinks he's going to get a big bag full of notes in a week.

We just wonder why he wants notes, he is asking the same as the offer he accepted from us last year

But it will still be a cheque surely. When people say cash buyer, they can’t expect a suitcase of used fifty pound notes, no questions and a hand shake??As others have said it still needs to go through conveyancing, deeds need to be checked, money laundering checks Etc etc. There is no way it would be quicker than your daughter.
i am really invested in this😂. I want to know what’s really Going on1 -
