Development folks he has told my daughter she can have the house if she pay a extra 20k so far my daughter had been very polite he knows how much she wanted it because ot is only a few doors from her cousin...she has now started looking elsewhere and calling his bluff...she has not pulled out though

  • @magicman62 So your daughter had a Vendor pulling out in 2019, 2020 and now 2021. She seems incredibly unfortunate 🤔

Before you get your MP involved (😂) I think you may need to have a long hard chat with your daughter.

If this is true, I wouldn't pay £20k more. That said, not sure I would trust Vendor and his dodgy Arthur Daley cash only payments, think I'd walk away.

It is been bad luck all along guzumped a crap EA she even had to put 1 on hold when when her credit rating was affected as someone took lians out in her name that delayed her mortgage..i did write to my mp suggesting perhaps the whole house buying procedure is overhauled..IE once a offer is accepted you are bound to honour it unless extreme reasons such as serveyots report..if either pull out the should be held responsible for the other parties expenses..that would stop a lot of these issues.

The Scottish system on paper seems superior to me. The system in England does support the chancers on both sides of the equation. We can't even build houses properly let alone sell them efficiently.
