They are using one of their Typoforms to collect an email address to redirect the conversation there. Seems like it is the social media team reaching out and not just standard customer support, though I have not tried it (and am no longer a customer).OhhLongJohnson said:masonic said:For reference, Octopus is on Bluesky now as well, for those who are X-iled.They are but have sadly have yet to enable direct messaging. As soon as they do I'll be deleting our twonker account as the Octopus support on there is the only reason I created it.

A new one out with each new SVT cap, roughly. So we'd expect another formula around April. So yes the Dec 24 version (which came out on the 31st Dec) will almost certainly be the one available.amanda1024 said:Does the Tracker version change every 3 months? I'm on the Dec 23 version (gas only), which has been comfortably below SVT the whole time, but Octopus want to me to 'renew' onto the Dec 24 version, which seems to have been generally at or above SVT - I'm assuming this will still be the latest version on 5th February 2025 (which is apparently the end of a 12 months fixed term which started on 12th February 2024 - I guess using a special definition of 12 months that's only 360 days).1 -
How one non-fixed version compares with another - at some moment in time, or historically in succession - must be defined by a combination of the wholesale price conversion "formula" and the SC's. As I understand it at least.debitcardmayhem said:
I fixed on Dec 24v1 (fixed) for gas, I doubt that the 24 tracker will be viable, but i don’t have a crystal ball. If Russia and Ukraine stop fighting and Europe allows more gas then I would guess gas might stop its upward trend. Based on forecasts from trading economics UK gas may end up 15~20% higher at the end of 2025.amanda1024 said:Does the Tracker version change every 3 months? If the Dec 24 version doesn't improve in relation to the SVT, I'll definitely be tempted to look elsewhere (although unfortunately the best rates aren't available gas-only; I'm planning to stick with Octopus for electricity since I have solar panels).Telegraph Sam
There are also unknown unknowns - the one's we don't know we don't know0 -
Anyone had experience of outfox the market? My tracker ends early march and outfox seems to be the cheapest unit price at the moment (2 years, 6.03 gas, 24.6 elec) for me, but don’t want to repeat neon reef, etc0

I was with OFTM before joining Octopus in March. No issues with OFTM.Badboi said:Anyone had experience of outfox the market? My tracker ends early march and outfox seems to be the cheapest unit price at the moment (2 years, 6.03 gas, 24.6 elec) for me, but don’t want to repeat neon reef, etc

Moved to Eon.Next and then had to have another go at OFTM over statutory compensation for a late final bill. Then moved to Octopus to take advantage of the Tracker tariff.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Fair point. I was on Dec 23, and looking at that, but switched gas recently to a fix at 5.74.debitcardmayhem said:0
