That's encouraging, but hopefully they'll be able to address the root cause.northernstar007 said:
looking on the app it now appears all of my days from day 1 has been adjusted to correct amountnorthernstar007 said:quick update on my missing data, ive had a reply back from octopus saying they are running tests on both meters and will adjust all my bills to correct usage and prices, said they will get back to me, been quick replying back to me
not sure it will work in my favour or not, i know 2 days in dec i used 80kw gas compared to 50kw in the 5.2p kw mark
now i see what happens on adjustment on my next bill and will keep a eye on it, any updates i will keep posted

Once we do all get moved to the new formula I am still seeing that Agile (without any load shifting) will be the tariff we move to for us. Plus we can personally load shift about 4-6kwh a day to improve on these numbers and we could turn the heat pump off for the expensive 3 hour slots as the slab is nice and toasty and acting like a NSH.
This may not be the case for all we are an all electric heat pump household. In the Eastern region which does have one of the biggest price changes on the new formula. Other regions may not be as effected and tracker will constantly be the winner as well as users who use peak times more.

How do your numbers compare when wholesale prices are higher? For example a period like Feb 2023 (or the brief spike in late November/early December)? This is a scenario where I'd still be quite a bit worse off under Agile on the new pricing.

Compare only goes back to the inception date of the new formula 11th December so can't reliably go back further without hurting some brain cells.masonic said:How do your numbers compare when wholesale prices are higher? That's why I said I will check regularly from that date and update.
Anyway it's not about my figures (I know we can make agile work better than tracker on the new formula) it's for others to check, monitor and be ready for when the new formula arrives if indeed that works for them.
If there is money to be saved I will always put it forward for others to check their own savings.
I would be interested on how @Spoonie_Turtle usage would compare new formula tracker to latest Agile as they regularly state they cannot avoid the 4-7pm so would be interesting what their results are without any load shifting.

I can't really avoid that period either, although I can reduce a bit. My own calculations suggest only a marginal saving is there to be had at today's prices, and if the (new) Tracker price went above 20p that would tip the scales in Tracker's favour assuming Agile behaved as it did in the past at that level. Between April and October this would have little impact as I use very little compared to the winter months, but the 9 month lockout would mean I'd need to jump ship soon if I were to take a gamble on wholesale prices remaining this low. Something I'm not willing to do at this stage.MultiFuelBurner said:

For the previous month according to the Octopus Compare app, Agile is 10% cheaper than the new formula. On the day we had the Saving Session, so I turned the heat pump off for nearly an hour and everyone else was out for about an hour and a half, it was 86p cheaper than Tracker.MultiFuelBurner said:

(Wish I could see further back in December to include the other SS days.)
I would need to see data from more expensive months before even considering whether to switch, though. At the moment Tracker is an easy win (in general, compared with the SVT) without requiring too much attention and I daren't give that up for 9 months without being absolutely sure.
Edit: I've just looked a bit closer, and the days with the biggest difference between them were days when two of us showered on the same night (one after the other) as we have an electric shower and do usually shower at night.
Part of not wanting to risk Agile is not being able to avoid the peak - or more accurately, the latter half of it - but a big part is also just not having the capacity for the mental load, and others not having the flexibility within their days to load shift very much. I will keep an eye on it though, as the showering at night and dishwasher going on late(ish) when we use it are certainly usages in Agile's favour.1 -
I am a member of a couple of social tracker groups and there are new to tracker customers being put on the November 2922 v1 tracker tariff.
It's not definitive at this stage but interesting if true as at least 5 have mentioned it.1 -
I've got the impression that Octopus are having lots of problems with admin and processes at the moment and I guess this is due to an error rather than a deliberate change of policy. But who knows and interesting as you say....BellaBlondykeTheThird said:I am a member of a couple of social tracker groups and there are new to tracker customers being put on the November 2922 v1 tracker tariff.
