Prices are on an upward trend again, its just where it will top out.  I have had a look at the graphs, the smart tariff graph is nice, but assumes a 35p cap for agile, which is a tariff no longer sold, I wonder if that will change july onwards when the EPG is removed.  The historical tracker graph is nice, but looks like all uncapped data (or is it 80p capped?), probably the best way to present it.

On the historical graph page on energy stats it reports the formula has indeed changed for the latest agile.

Comparing the historical tracker and agile graphs, raw data isnt there due to caps on the graphs.

But can see tracker when its at higher rates is favourable, some days the min rate on agile is barely below the all day rate on tracker.

That was indeed the uncapped unit rate, before any EPG discount.

I had to go through a form and then go on the normal waiting list even though I am already on gas tracker.  Hopefully will be allowed on in the July 50k, but I am guessing the list is bigger then that.  But assuming is people on the list as well who will be rejected due to legacy meter.

Which GE UK tariff are you on? I'm on Sparkling 6 and the move to Octopus Flexible seems a no brainer
Im on the new Sparkling fix. According to the estimated yearly use its £100 cheaper on Octopus Flex.

Smart meter appointment booked for next month.  We're on holiday when our fixed term ends in August and I didn't want to risk being booted off for not having one in time.

I'm excited/apprehensive to see what our base load is - although we now have two extractor fans almost permanently on, the bathroom did turn off at the isolator switch before it stopped working and we've not tried it since being fixed, but for the kitchen fan the switch just makes it more powerful rather than being an isolator - but it'll be good to know for certain, as well as having granular data for usage.

I will also have to go back to checking the daily price and encouraging load switching where we can, but everyone here is amenable to that as long as it doesn't massively inconvenience them (like Agile would).

oh im stupid lol the current projected spend is based on current tariff and not July.
So I suspect it to be similar in price however as the unit rate will go down a bit but the standing charge goes up so cancels out the saving.

After the relatively 'higher' (but still well below EPG) prices of the last 2 weeks or so, tomorrow's electricity UR is down to the lowest of the month so far - for me, 15.86p/kWh.

Could be an extremely volatile week ahead for wholesale energy prices based on current world news and events.

I have a feeling tracker multiplier is likely to increase the same day they letting more on the tariff, so might be a good idea to check their announced formula changes on 1 July.

Peak and off peak today is interesting on agile, cheapest around midday, cheaper than dusk hours, and the peak wholesale cost is about 10pm, 4-7 pm is only more expensive due to that premium they add on for transport costs.
