Will the SC go up or stay at 15p?0
-
Good question. I believe so from the experience of others otherwise it would be a different tariff. I’m also on Go Faster 5hrs for Electricity from 20:30hrs and when they rolled that over for a further year last July they didn’t alter the SC or rates.RavingMad said:Will the SC go up or stay at 15p?0 -
SC is a feature of the tariff, so if you renew the same tariff, you get the SC specified in the 'All our tariffs' page. Octopus may be at liberty to change these (for all customers on the tariff) from time to time, just as they can change the way the rate is calculated. They haven't done so in the past.

I recall tlcgrantham posting what is now quite a few weeks ago received v2 tariff options email which mirrored v1, do nothing option tariff extension for 12 months, v2 fixed term ending cannot possibly be for at least a week.SteveNorfolk said:
Excellent! How did you manage that?tlcgrantham said:Octopus have allowed me to stay on Gas Tracker V2 for another 12 months. Over the past year it has cost me £581.82 and I’ve used 7862kw, that’s an average of 7.4p/kWh, so I’m really chuffed.
Change of policy for v3 renewals, need to contact Octopus if want to stay on tracker, do nothing option default to flexible tariff.
Numerous reports elsewhere that those not on v1 or v2 who contact Octopus to stay on tracker have been told need smart meter to stay on tracker.0 -

That’s correct. My email says “if you’d like to stick with Octopus Tracker for a further 12 months, you don’t need to do anything- we’ll automatically extend your tariff until April 14th 2023.bristolleedsfan said:

Useful to know, will have to contact them in a few months then to a) confirm and b) arrange a smart meter in time.bristolleedsfan said:

Potential EPG unit rate reduction unlikely to apply from July 1 as well as likely cheaper flexible tariff, expectation of fixed rate tariffs being launched = attractiveness of later versions tracker versions likely to diminish.Spoonie_Turtle said:

Thanks, we snuck onto the July tariff just in time (cap 55p) before bringing out the August tariff so we'll just have to see how things go over summer.bristolleedsfan said:
