Good morning All
@Sallyp2 - I love L!dl, but we’ve never been lucky enough to get a £1.50 F&V box, even when my DH has walked down there at 8.30am. They seem to control their produce quite tightly, so they don’t have waste. If you’re in the shop late in the day, there isn’t a lot of fruit and veg left on the shelves, so don’t shop late.
Speaking of L!dl, we shopped there yesterday: £26.59 spent, plus a £2 coin received in change (which goes to the Running Away Fund). That brings our total spend for the month to £117.80/£142.00, leaving £24.20 for the remainder of the month.

Spends update:
M&S £22.87 / JS £10.90 / Iceland £9 / Aldi £22.39 / Asda £45.22 / £land £12 / Milkman £8.69
Total spend £131.07
I have officially bust the budget! Budget = £320 vs. Current spend = £432.48
Result = overspend £112.48 (and counting)
I thought I would shop around to get better prices, while I've saved money on things I wanted, I have spent ALOT going between SM's. I do not need to shop for anymore food this month, but that probably won't stop me!

So no updates for a while as limited spend :-)
A couple of little ones at the back end of last week taking us to £260.14/£450.
As my mum has been buying most of the shopping this month it's really helping out monthly budget and annual 'per day' value. I did think about including the value she had spent to get a true reflection, but i find these ups and downs tend to even out over the year - plus it's been an expensive month with car tax i had failed to budget for and some other larger bills coming out - so i am going to take the benefit this time and know that over the year we will reciprocate in meals etc.

I've completely lost track of this month and haven't the faintest idea where I am with my budget except that there is a lot more money than I expected sitting in the bank which is due largely to my feeling too seedy to shop or cook for a fortnight or so.
Anyway, have just been to M*rks with a very short list which I wasn't able to cross everything off either and have spent £10.92 on organic milk x 2, yoghurt, dried tarragon, garlic, satsumas x 2, organic leeks and pumpkin seeds. The freezer and fridge remain stubbornly full and I have meals for the next five days planned so I think I'll just write this month off and start again in June.9 -
Well I’m calling it a month. Total spent £182.44 out of my budget of £190. The end of the month ran away from me a bit with pop ins here and there for bits I’d forgotten or couldn’t get with normal shop. Slightly more weeks in month next time round so I’ll leave June at £190. Final shop done this morning. Declaring with £157.94 left which means I managed to come in almost £100 under budget! Rather than adding to the bulk fund as I usually do I am going to add it to the holiday budget as we are away for most of June so there will definitely be extra spending done, including more eating out than usual. We generally only eat out once every couple of months but on holiday tend to eat out at least once a week so definitely much higher cost than usual but it's what the holiday budget is for!
See you all in a few months time - once the holiday season is over!

Anyone else watch the Prue food waste show on last night, channel 4???
Am intrigued as to food spend data they quote, so have been looking online, while I get over this mornings root canal, now there's an excuse not to go food shopping lol, and found this stats website for UK families of various sizes
