UPDATE
So I had my court hearing today after this going on for months and working on my witness statement and prepping for today.
The legal representative for BW Legal did not show up to the telephone hearing so the judge struck out the claim.
Thank God this has all come to an end it has been hanging over my head for so long.6 -
Well, done a WIN, annoying as it is after all the time and effort one puts into these issues. Shame judges cannot impose some sort of penalty against claimants (especially if they are solicitors - who should know better) who deliberately fail to turn up, even for a phone call or Cloud Video Platform (CVP).4

Congrats! Did you ask for (and get) any costs?Jenni x4

Well done, it's a win for you ..... a loss for BWLegal and a disturbing message to NPE who trusted them3

Many court claims fail because of poor rignage. Read this and complain to your MP.h

Absolutely. At a reduced rate, if paid within 14 days of course...Le_Kirk said:Shame judges cannot impose some sort of penalty against claimants (especially if they are solicitors - who should know better) who deliberately fail to turn up, even for a phone call or Cloud Video Platform (CVP).{Signature removed by Forum Team - if you are not sure why we have removed your signature, it's probably Gladstones}1 -
No I didn't. The call lasted about 30 seconds which was the judge saying he'd tried to phone BW Legal's representative a few time but no answer so he's striking the claim. I'm just thankful it's all over tbh so didn't mention anything about costs.Jenni_D said:Congrats! Did you ask for (and get) any costs?2 -
Well done on your win.
But...
Don't throw everything away just yet - there is always the possibility the Claimant might dispute the Judge's conclusion for any number of reasons.4
