much cheaper to run than an equivalent convector heater as the oil stores and retains some of the heat allowing the heating element to do less work.
No. ALL electric heaters give off EXACTLY THE SAME amount of heat for a given cost of electricity. It is simple physics. What you gain by the oil giving off heat after the element switches off you lose by the element heating up the oil in the first place, when a convector or fan heater would be giving off heat into the room.

It is worrying that so many people think that different electric heaters have different efficiencies. They do not. They are all the same. Ignore advertising that tries to persuade you otherwise - it is simply legalised lying.
Also they do not create a 'dry' heat like convector heaters. I reckon these are ideal for a conservatory.
The heat given off is just the same - hot air, with no water added and no water taken away.
Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.

Hey FREE Super Saver Delivery is back on all orders from Ebuyer over £24.99 INC VAT.:j
Ordered my pair (1500w and 2000w £23.09 +vat), this time, saved £13+ on delivery too, plenty left at mo.

Dont forget these are a bit pricey to run, as gromit says a Kw is a Kw whether it is a fan heater or whatever, costs are for the time in use.

These take longer to heat up and stay warm longer so ideal where a stable temp is required.

I can't find the 11 fin version, I assume the code is TR11S, but they don't seem to have this model. Has anyone found it?

all is good with ebuyer again!

i phoned them this am (not long on a 0870 number) and they gave me the parcel tracking number with Citylink...

the goods arrived tonight - hurrah!

    mmmm....warmth
  • I ordered 2 of these 11 fin models to heat up garage (kids use it as a playroom). Arrived Weds afternoon, plugged one in and went off, next thing my 6 yr old is telling me the house is on fire! The whole house was filled with smoke before we turned the thing off - the paint was all blackened. Have returned both units to e buyer who confirmed they were faulty and refunded in full.

Maybe we were just unlucky, but I would urge anyone who buys these to at least stay around when they first switch them on to make sure all's okay.

so norm how did that happen?

did you have something covering it?

don't understand how it could cause blackened paint, and i hope you've demanded compensation if they've ruined the room
