Anyone know how much these cost to run?
  • I used three when my central heating broke a couple of years ago. They're fantastic but I was paying off my electricity bill for a few months afterwards.

They are brilliant as a back up plan, or if you wanted it for your office, because then the boss has to pay!!! :T

    Seriously good price!!

much cheaper to run than an equivalent convector heater as the oil stores and retains some of the heat allowing the heating element to do less work. Also they do not create a 'dry' heat like convector heaters. I reckon these are ideal for a conservatory.
  • They just take longer to heat-up than convectors - just get one with a thermostat so they're not continually burning juice. 7p an hour to run for the 1kw version - depending on your electricity tarrif!

I have a 1Kw version in my conservatory and it works well. I like oild fired radiators because they are resonably kiddie friendly (they do get hot). I must be lucky mine costs 5.6p per hour to run ;)
  • Can't get the free delivery on 2 x £14.45. What am I doing wrong?

    Choose supersaver delivery
  • Oh ok I have just adjusted to super saver delivery and now it's come out as 'free' delivery but to play safe, read some ebuyer users' experiences before hitting the 'pay' button. Was so shocked at others' problems with this company that I thought it best not to deal with them.
