If your existing tariff has no exit fees then Avro lets you switch to any lower tariff they bring out straightaway.katies_mum said:Yes 2010 it is exactly 45 days today, thank you. I have been logging on each day and this morning it worked.
I am assuming that as there are no exit fees with Avro, if a lower tariff comes out we can change in the same way. Maybe someone might know the answer to this? I will definitely be looking out for a lower tariff with them.
I`ve done this twice in the past with Avro.
Keep your eye on this thread for any changes to tariffs.
Also this link shows Avro prices.

I am currently on the Simple and Super Fixed tariff and I am looking to renew from 18th June. The cheapest tariff on the list, is the Simple and Fixed 12M. It appears that if I want to renew, I must email them or phone them. There is no online renewal available. I am concerned that if it takes Avro almost 2 weeks to reply, the tariff may have been dropped by then.katies_mum said:2010, the Avro site has let me renew today from 18th June, its increased to £84 a month from the £72 are currently paying as the amount of electricity I have used is slightly increased from a few weeks ago. I will be checking every week to see if by chance they bring out any cheaper tariffs over the summer, but at the moment it is still cheaper than other quotes I have had.0 -
You don't need to email or phone them at all. Go to Avro's website and click on Get A Quote. Once you filled out the first page it will identify you as an existing customer and force you to log in. It then gives you the best available quote for you, set the date you want the new tariff to begin and it's one click to accept it. Job Done!Thomas_Crown said:

I too am on the Simple and Superfixed tariff which doesn't end until July.If I decide, later, to accept a renewal offer from the tariff end, will that be honoured if they subsequently bring out another higher cost tariff before that renewal date?I'm not impressed by their customer services but to date there is nothing available to beat their present offering!0

As I pointed out in an earlier post you can`t renew anything before 45 days.oldagetraveller1 said:I too am on the Simple and Superfixed tariff which doesn't end until July.If I decide, later, to accept a renewal offer from the tariff end, will that be honoured if they subsequently bring out another higher cost tariff before that renewal date?I'm not impressed by their customer services but to date there is nothing available to beat their present offering!
So whatever tariff is available at the 45 day deadline you can renew on that tariff and it will commence on the day your current tariff ends.0 -
It would not let me do this when I tried it 3 months before my renewal date. I did do the quote and logged in a requested and tried to accept the quote and it told me to phone or email them. I tried several times in the weeks following and had the same message. I received the email last Sunday telling me my existing tariff ended in 14th June and I was able to accept the quote then.As I pointed out in an earlier post you can`t renew anything before 45 days.

Thanks for the info. I had been looking for a 'Renewal' button, rather than 'Quote'. Anyway, Avro have solved the problem, as I received a renewal email today. They have offered me the tariff I was looking at, Simple and Super Fix 12M @ £81 pm. I am currently on Simple and Super Fixed @ £68 pm. According to the MSE Cheap Energy Club, the only cheaper tariffs are all variable ones. Outfox The Market have a comparable fixed tariff @ £81 pm but I don't like that company. I tried them once and they were awful. I am going to stick with Avro Energy as I have never had any problems with them.youravinalarrrf said:
