a collection of cats and a large dog have been sleeping on me all night, so I woke up stiff and squashed.

Nothing planned today apart from work.

Weekends go too quickly and i have a full week of work but no eve meetings and WfH everyday so that's a win

DD1 is off work today as she has finally got a dog! She's wanted one since she was about 10 so has had a long wait but finally her dream has come true

Dog and DD1 are both nervous but dog will have a lovely life with DD1 and her boyfr. They are late 20s so didnt have to wait as long as you WW

I am going to do my monthly run down, even though I don’t get paid for a week. Nothing else is coming out and I absolutely must not spend until pay day now! So…
the good - £420 up altogether including pots. £61.10 tillied to mortgage overpayments.
the bad - I had the large oil bill, I’ve bought next months pet food out of this months wages as some items were running a bit low, a few big presents and some frittering happened which meant saving wasn’t half as good as it should have been.
the ugly - my pots are still not full funded when I need them (oil, I’m looking at you) and my savings are still not up to where they were before ‘the bad month’. I need to get my savings to a level where I dare exclude the pots total in them as the pots should really run outside of this in their own category.
February outlook - if I’m careful I should get the savings up to where they were before ‘the bad month’ and then I can exclude the pots going forward. I just have one big birthday present to buy in February and as the oils and pets are already sorted there should be no big hits next month.

So just to survive until next Monday now 😬😁
