I love the fact that I get my work pension monthly on 28th and my state pension every Friday!  DH gets his state pension every Tuesday so we're never without money for long - just don't have as much as we used to have when we worked!  Means we've always got money when we need shopping as it's not too long to wait between pay days.

31st here too, it's so wrong when it's on a Monday, it's just cruel trying to get through that extra weekend!
You're dead right here, my grocery budget will stretch to Friday but it's next weekend I'll crack! Next time I'm thinking of budgeting based on how many weekends there are in a month instead of just a blanket figure. It's was a bit too ambitious but it was my first go and definitely made me think more about what I'm spending on food and if I really need that item or should just eat what I already have!
Happy Sunday all! I love Sundays but often have the dreading Monday feeling, I don't know why! I don't even dislike my job 😂
  • @elbree same here. It’s even worse after a week off…I think it comes from the going back to school feeling. Will anything have changed, will people still be your friend, etc. silly, but true.

😂 So true! For me it is literally going back to school! 'Have I forgotten how to teach?' 🤔

I hated Sunday nights when I was a kid, the theme tune of the Antiques Roadshow always spelt the end of the weekend. And I didn't even mind school! I still don't.

I guess I'd just rather be at home reading 😂

Pets at home sell a dog car seat that lifts them up so they can see out the window and are safe. M_F dog loves hers. Used to be sick every time she was in the car now we have to drag her out her moving bed ☺️

Thanks for that MF will have a look. He used to get sick in the car, think it was because he couldn’t see. He’s elderly now but would love to go out to different places with him.xx

Mine just likes the motion and often snoozes all the way. She sits up at traffic lights (just one in town, the rest is countryside) and occasionally along the way, but mostly lays down. If it’s not raining I open a back window once the cars got nice and warm, so she can sniff all the sniffs 😁
