We have Ninja Turtle baubles that the HT and i made. Green baubles with a strip of the appropriate coloured ribbon glued on then tied in a knot at the back. Glue two googly eyes to the front and you're done. As a craft activity for a child it was easy and effective. We gave people that visited us that year one each and kept the rest. They've lasted ages.
  • carolbee  - I know I'm late but have a fabulous Xmas and holiday with your family, hope the journey went well.

I always have the same Angel on the top of the tree, it's made from a toilet roll inner, a ping pong ball and paper!  My eldest dd made it at play school 43 years ago when she was 3 :)  no Xmas bedding but plenty of decorations and fairy lights everywhere.

Our tree is also adorned with tat the kids have made over the years and I wouldn't have it any other way. It may look like someone has sneezed tinsel over it but I think it reflects us, messy chaos!

Good morning and happy Sunday 🎄🍫📚☕️
I’m loving hearing about your decorations. I still have my original 28 yr old angel from my first tree, but retired her about 15 yrs ago for a bigger version with real feathers in her wings. I can’t bare (bear?) to throw things away so my tree is always a riot of colour and never a calm coordinated grown up tree. I also have an addiction to tinsel…I love tinsel of all colours and seem to get a new bit every year (while stroking them all in the shops and oohing over the shiny colours). MrWW has a twinkly lights obsession so we can probably be seen from space.
Today I have Tilly tidied £5 to Christmas 22 and paid £4.99 for a kindle book. The book is the second in a long series. I got the first for free and it’s good enough to try the second. If that lives up to expectations I may move on to all 11. It’s the blood trails series by Jennifer Blackstream if anyone has heard of her. I’ll have smashed my reading totals this year (since records began…3 yrs ago 🤣) and think I’ll have got through more than 70 by year end.
Today won’t be an NSD because of the kindle. I have other things I could read, so no excuses ☹️
I enjoyed strictly last night and voted twice for Rose and once for John. I’d rather Rhys goes, but wouldn’t by too worried if AJ did…as long as my 2 go through. It won’t ruin my life or anything, but I’d like to see Rose or John win 😁
I hope you all have a wonderful relaxing Sunday filled with happy things 🍫☕️📚🎄

Happy Sunday. I’m afraid I fell asleep halfway through Strictly, not because it was boring but because I felt rough after my booster. I think Rose will win 💃

You must have needed it. They were all good, but John didn’t dazzle in the couples choice (but the judges liked it) and Rhys, well I’m not sure why I’d rather he go…a bit smug maybe? Which has nothing to do with dancing, I know!

You got your wish with Rhys going 😆 It’s now at the stage where they’re all good. I still think Rose will win although AJ is still my favourite.
