Good morning and happy Friday 🍫☕️🧁🎃
Thank you for yesterday’s book club everyone, it was lovely 📚 I haven’t read the Beekeeper of Aleppo, but will add it to my ever increasing list. I am half way through Sharpes Gold in my re-read of the series. I think I will have a Sharpe break then before getting the next group of 3 on kindle. I’m really enjoying them, but some pre orders are backing up!I did spend yesterday…£12.05 on a Halloween candle for my mum. The make is Wickford & co and comes in a large glass jar like a Yankee. I don’t know if it will perform as well as a Yankee, but it was half the price and I liked the Halloween name of Boo-Berry 😬
I will try for an NSD today. Next week might be a bit spendy as we are on leave, although I have no idea what we will be doing! I am (obviously) dreaming of the brownie sundae and will need to hit that place for lunch! I wish I had a more interesting life that didn’t revolve around food, books and time not working…..I expect you lot do too 🤣
I think it will be a struggle to hold onto the savings this month, as it’s tight because I paid back what I spent from them last month! I want to, at the very least, end the month with more in than I ended last month with, but ideally I’d like to get back to pre September silly spend level! It’s there at the moment, but it only leaves me with about £50 for free spending and with a week off that feels grim. I may need to ‘borrow’ £200 and then pay myself back at the end of the month. There are expensive things hovering that I’m trying not to think about, like my beautiful elderly coffee machine is shedding chrome and making odd noises (£419 for a new one at the best deal and a cheaper colour (no idea why my silver and chrome is hundreds more than the black and chrome in the exact same model)). If it dies then I will replace it as it’s the only thing that keeps me functioning, but I’m hoping it will limp on. I’ve certainly had my monies worth over the years. ☕️☕️Anyway, enough waffle…have a fantabulous Friday, I hope you all have wonderful happy days 🍫📚🧁☕️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
