Thanks @Deni_debt-free_dreamer , it can’t possibly be crumble that’s to blame…definitely elves!
@carolbee I think so! I’m just waiting on some pet food…nothing exciting ☹️
@dawnybabes I keep rejigging next months budget, so I’m on the fence if I should buy more premium bonds or shuffle it elsewhere. I’m sure I should have won the jackpot by now!!Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Good morning and happy Sunday 🍰📚☕️What a horrible palaver everyone is having with the fuel! I am an ‘oh my goodness I’m going to be stranded’ person if the gauge gets near half, so I have a good buffer. The ‘it’ll be fine’ people who run on fumes must be suffering ☹️ I don’t know if the panic has hit up here, but I will have a look when dog and I drive past today. I usually only need to top up once a month after payday, so no panic yet.I am declaring today a no spend day.
I gave the hall a deep clean yesterday, took down 2 old cat trees and put one of the new ones up. MrWW helped put it together after he’d been gardening so that went a bit quicker. Sadly it’s a bit flimsier than the old ones…I must have spent more on those! Everyone had a little climb, a scratch and then my oldest boy had a nap in the biggest box house, so it seems to have approval.I’m not sure if I’ll do another today or if I’ll clean out the bathroom cupboard….it’s all go here!I hope you all have a splendiferous Sunday filled with all good things 🍫🧁☕️📚and 🎃🎃🎃 (is it too soon?)Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Morning, panic buying down here but we don’t need any luckily.
the cat trees sound fun
off to another seaside town today for a look around then back here for dinner with family and a game of Rummikub and no doubt a few glasses of wine, it’s good when you don’t have work next day.
have a lovely dog drive todayCarolbee3 -
Lots of panic buying here too. I have half a tank so I'm ok. About to go and meet a friend a couple of towns over so leaving early and taking the bus.
Glad the cats like their trees!3 -
Carolbee - e for envelopes, brilliant, thank you!!
I'm feeling a lot better now WW but still not eating all three meals so I'm hoping those elves are going to move on before they alter anymore of my clothes!!!!!!

I drove by the petrol station I go to and it was deserted at that time, no queues, no signs saying they were out. It all look pretty normal! Tesco deliveries are still a bit weird though, so the overall stock is still a little tricky. As long as we can get the Christmas goodies!I just ate a jam donut, so I’m fairly happy right now!Enjoy the seaside @carolbee . Have a good trip @naomim , I hope it involves coffee! @nannygladys I hope your appetite picks up soon…the elves don’t need a break because of that! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

We used to have cake Friday at work a long long time ago and sometimes somebody would bring donuts in. Anybody who could eat theirs without licking their lips got a bonus one, not as easy as it sounds
Quite by chance we filled our cars up Friday morning, just as the news was breaking. Hope you've had a lovely weekend @WinterWarrior. 1 -
Evening all
I'm back to work tomorrow after 8 days off, been bliss but all good things must come to an end - apparently
I'm WfH tomorrow but supposed to be in the office on Tu and Weds; i have 100 miles in my tank which will make one journey and then my warning light will come on so i'm hoping things will have calmed down tomorrow and i can get some petrol. They had none at Sainz when i did a food shop earlier.
I haven't made crumble yet because i found a half brownie in the fridge left for me by DD2 so i ate that with some cream, yummy!

@WinterWarrior it's involved Gary Barlow and gin! We went to see GB play what we thought was an intimate album review but he played lots of old songs too in a 45 minute set. He was no further than 20 feet away from me. Friend and I both took the bus soon the pub having a quick G&T.2
