Oh no, you must have (at least) one of your own. I did miss a few years in my early 20’s when I thought I was a grown up, but I soon grew out of that! Advents are the best! I’m partial to the Lindt ones too 😋
when I was little they only had picture ones and most years we had to share and take turns opening the doors, so now I generally have quite a few, pictures and chocolates and occasionally a Lego one has snuck in. MrWW likes them too 😁 I do like Christmas build up..fa la la la la, la la la la 🎄

  • Your passion for chocolate is impressive.

I did treat myself to an advent calendar last year but not a chocolate one but a lovely reusable slot together Christmas ornament one. It will get years of use and love.

I learnt from experience that if Mr Jellytotts has a chocolate Calendar he eats it all within the first 2 days.  He's got no shame.

Well, theres 20 minutes gone looking at slot together advent calendars, aren’t they gorgeous!

waiting in for my candle making supplies to come today, I only make as gifts not to sell.

mum used to buy my 20+ boys an advent calendar every year, the year after she  died they were most put out I didn’t get them one. They solved the problem by moving abroad 😉

Have a good day, full of choc, coffee and books

Morning @WinterWarrior. The DC's still have advent calendars but we mainly have advent tubs of chocolates the rate we get through them in December  :D  Have a great day.

The past couple of years I’ve had a gin advent calendar but last year’s was a bit disappointing with quite a few liqueur gins that were too sweet. I came to the conclusion it’s a lot cheaper just to buy a couple of bottles of gin I do like, although the surprise element is taken away. I also used to have beauty advent calendars but stopped as I had too many beauty bits to use up without adding to the pile. I remember when the only advent calendars were the ones where you opened a window and there’d be a little picture inside 😆

  • Every year my Mum buys me and my sister a chocolate advent calendar, she would never have dreamed of buying us calendars with chocolate in them when we were children, not that they were a thing. She also buys them for her grandchildren, what double standards 🤣

  • @CRANKY40 I bet you were the oldest! On the picture ones my sister allowed me to open the first door…how kind was that? Until I finally worked out she was making sure she got the big double door at the end ☹️

I am the oldest...but that meant that I was blamed for everything my sister did wrong. Even when we were living in different houses the comment "What did you let her do that for?" wasn't unusual.
