Morning all
As the title says I am new to wanting to invest and just looking for a little help on where would be best to do research before I make a move. I'm looking to leave what I invest for long term, 15 to 20 years.
I've £25k in an account which is not doing much so I was hoping to put half of this in a S/S ISA, keep half in some form of account which I can get to if needed (you never know what is around the corner in life) and then drip say around £800 every 3 months (from new monthly savings) in to the S/S ISA.
Sorry if you get asked this a lot, I just want to make sure I understand everything before I jump in and would prefer not to be doing bad research by googling the wrong thing. Is there any good sites or youtubers to read/follow?
I'm in a position where I am making spare monthly money and would rather put this in to good use than leave it sitting doing nothing. This monthly spare monthly money could easily grow as well so I want to try and have a good plan.
Thanks for any help.

1. Make sure you have no large debts.
2. Have any emergency fund
3. Sort out your Pension
4. Invest via SIPP & Stocks & Shares ISA
5. Invest for at least 10 years or longer.
6. Watch the following

7. As a first investment consider a cheap Global Muti Asset Fund, with a share/bond split you are comfortable with. That will allow you to sleep at night and let you stay invested when markets crash (as they do sometimes). This will give you a ready made portfolio.
