Sony Ericsson W810i - Please Help!

  • Well i called Sony - explained about the receipt etc. I had to take the cover off the back and give a date, but i couldn't because the top part of the label i needed to read out is hidden by another cover held on by screws - was told not to remove it or would void the warranty. Anyways, i read the date on the battery - 07w35. He spoke to his supervisor who said to send it in with a covering letter explaining the receipt etc. If they can fix it they will, but if they can't i won't get a new phone because of no proof of postage - also, i may have to pay 10 quid to get it back!

Anyways, i'm going to send it off to Sony tomorrow. It can take 7-10 working days to get it back, so hopefully i'll get it back in time for xmas. if they can't fix it, then I'll need you're help doing a reflash thing. I'll let you know how i get on anyways. Thanks for all your help. :D

yes but that doesnt show the date of manufacturing does it?? (like the post i quoted said)

*#0000# doesn't do that with Nokia's either, it gives the software version an the release date of the software. Closest you wil get with a Nokia is *#92702689# but even that can be changed with a full firmware flash. The point is both *#0000# and >*<<*< give the same result.

    Best regards
