Data Protection Breach

Hello,
I received documentation from a parking company regarding a court case. Apart from containing various lies (that I did not send details to the company), it included details of another driver (name and vehicle details). The evidence submitted to me was printed on both sides of A4 paper with my details on one side & another persons details on the opposite side.
This is clearly a breach of data protection, and I will flag to DVLA, ICO, relevant county courts, and CCBC.
I am deeply concerned by this breach. I believe this raises SERIOUS issues with respect to the company stating that they "posted details to registered keeper" etc.
Would anyone want to contact me (ideally privately) to help with drafting my statement - I believe that this episode will help other drivers faced with these claims, and support counter claims against the company. I would be happy to share details in due course, however prefer to draft my statements outside of a public forum (in case company realise).
Cheers

who cares if the PPC's read this forum, they are still on a learning curve. A data breach is very serious and must be reportedCovid_Vaccinator said:

It is getting reported to ICO, along with copy to DVLA, country courts (to help the other individual), and CCBC. I will also flag to the company who own the area where it is alleged I parked. They are a well known and highly respected company. I do not think that they will want to be associated with this diabolical company.beamerguy said:

I suggest you send an urgent request to the DPO of the scammers, telling them to confirm that they have not sent your data to anyone else.
I would warn the other person whose data you have been sent. At the moment, it is they who have been the subject of the data breach and they should be complaining like mad as well as you.
Both of you should be complaining to the scammer's ATA.
It really would help for us to know who the scammers are because some of them have form for doing this before.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Vehicle Control Services.
Do you have the details of the DPO? I only have the contact details for SAR request.
I don't have the address details of the other person, hence the rationale to send to the county courts, CCBC, DVLA, and ICO so that the person can be notified ASAP.
Hope that helps.1 -

Cheers Ralph - strangely couldn't see it when I searched. Probably too much else on at present (exacerbated by this stress)Ralph-y said:google gave me this in seconds

As mentioned by fruitcake, its the other party that is the victim of the data breach you should complain nonetheless.your best course of action is to complain to the car park owner and let them know that their agents, the parking company have breached GDPR and as such they could be liable for a substantial claim - as they are jointly and severally liable for the actions of their agents. You should notify the ICO, and tell the parking company, and the car park owner that they should also notify the ICO over this breach. If you can contact the person named, and point them here - notifying them about this would not be a breach of GDPR, as there is a legitimate interest/reason as it is they who if they wish to do so will be the ones pursuing the parking company/landownerFrom the Plain Language Commission:
