getmore4less has already linked to SSD. 500 GB for a mere £40. So £58 in total including the caddy. Say £60 if you'd like to choose another caddy.

    Hi
Just a word of caution, the W10 licence does not transfer well.

You may need to contact MS following the HDD replacement.

No problem with mine - old HDD was cloned onto new SSD.

No problem with mine either but I'm talking about many clean installs to SSD (usually the recommended option unless you have many programs you'd rather not reinstall).

I find cloning troublesome. It takes ages and if the cloned to SSD drive boots first time you'll be lucky.  Clean installing takes about 10 minutes (plus time to install Microsoft updates).  95% time everything should work but on the odd occassion you may need a driver from the computer maker's website.
Issues with clean installing?  When you go through the set up remember to create a LOCAL account, unless you have a particular desire to use a Microsoft account.   You will also have to resintall any programs e.g. Chrome web browser, anti-virus program (although Windows10's own is good for home use); also Microsoft Office etc.  And if any programs need a license key you'll have to dig those out.

Always the best way. It cleans up your system and you haven't lost anything as all your data will still be on the old HDD for access at a later date.

In addition the CPU isn't the greatest, so a clean install will get the best out of it.

Once you have fitted the SSD and managed to boot from the USB installation drive, don't connect to the Internet(or you will be forced to sign in via Microsoft as opposed to the usual Local account sign in), don't choose Express settings and take note of the privacy option choices during the install

Doesn't matter if you are not sure, as you can use https://wpd.app to disable their dodgy stuff at the end of the install.
