My FIL generally disapproves of everything we do be it where we go on holiday, what car we drive etc.He hated our first house, it was too small, too open plan, too modern, admittedly I agree with him on the awful parking.....
We were secretly thrilled when we moved to our current house and the only thing he doesn’t like is the shape of the bottom of the stairs!!!He misses out though. We took my parents to second view this house but didn’t even consider asking him as he’s have just tried to talk us out of it.1 -
Some people are only happy when you are as miserable as them.Nothing is foolproof to a talented fool.2

I don’t particularly like the houses any of my children and siblings have bought. I wouldn’t dream of telling them - their choices, their lives.2

This house buy feels like The Good Life and we are Tom and Barbara, having Margot x 6 voicing their opinions!
Sounds like one of my neighbours! We are living the good life lifestyle, he is Margot attempting to say horrible things about my flat, fruit and veg plot, but at the same time wants what I've grown.
Oddly enough though he's asked me to work on his garden as he's seen how I'm transforming another neighbours garden.
Honestly, let it bounce off you and learn to say "good job people like different things" 😉Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2
