EE will not offer us a land line when we are due to renew our contract in August. We have recently made a successful bid for funding of superfast broad band to our village and have to sign up with our current providers EE asap.EE were on the list in Nov but have now withdrawn. The upshot is we can have superfast but no phone line. As we are not in a good reception area for mobiles this is not an acceptable option. New customers however are not being treated this way and are being offered a phone line currently on their web site deals.
If we don't use the broad band connection voucher from Openreach we will loose it and have to pay the full connection price. Alternatively we will get the penalty for ending our EE contract early in order to get a service new customers can get.
Is anyone else having this issue with EE? and what can we do about it?

If you get a broadband connection you have the option of getting a VoIP phone connection which runs over the internet. OpenReach will be moving all their PSTN lines to VoIP over the next few years so you'll be ahead of the game. Some routers have a phone connection and you can get VoIP adapters which allow a normal phone to be used over the internet.
Have a look at SIPgate, other providers are available.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
Op you should check with EE if indeed this is Fibre to the premises .Mine has the provision for the new VOiP system .0
