It will be sitting in queue waiting to be dealt with. It depends where you are in the queue as to how long that will take.

My amount had been reduced by hmrc when I logged in this morning , does this mean that it will now finally be paid and checks are complete? Im not sure why it was reduced as figures were correct but luckily only reduced by a small amount. I submitted on 6th and was told checks to be completed by the 3rd June

Every time I try ring or go on chat just says busy no letters or anything is there somewhere on the hmrc ya can look what’s been sent never took this long before starting to become a joke when ya rely on money if you don’t pay them they wack charges on left right and centre don’t they

Not really no, for most people who will owe tax for 2021:22 it must be paid by 31 January next year.

If HMRC don't refund you any tax overpaid from 2021:22 by 31 January next year they have to start paying you interest.  Not much mind but they still have to pay you it.

Requested payment 11th. Told me should be done b4 the end of may. Can't see that happening after last year
