Had to contact hmrc to request a refund as my passport had expired and don't have a northern Ireland driving licence

I requested my refund on 7th. Still pending as of today. Assuming undergoing additional checks as people who submitted theirs on a later date have had theirs issued.

Mines still pending too submitted 7th amended 8th after last year's surf2 iv already printed the stuff out preparing for the worst 🤣

I don’t fully understand the process in which they issue payments, I assumed it would be separated into batches regarding dates they were submitted.

I submitted my tax returns for 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 on 5th April this year I know they was submitted late but this resulted in a repayment being due which I requested. I have spoken to hmrc and was advised that it was issued on 8th April but then went for additional security checks and the date for issue will be 17th May after six weeks. Will I receive a letter with regards to this? 

I have submitted my 2021/2022 tax return today will this follow the same process and be stopped for security? Should I hold of requesting repayment?

any help would be appreciated as I have never dealt with this before

Submitted on 6th, requested repayment on the 7th. Issued today around 1-2am as well as receiving a message in account.
