When I requested my payment it said please allow upto 4 weeks before contacting us.

If you’re so clued up how come you’re in the same boat as the rest of us? Surely someone with as much knowledge as you would have filled in the letter to avoid all the trouble haha

  • No letter, heard about it and asked on my call to HMRC. Was informed that I didn’t have one sent.

The letter was send out depending on your employment status, people with just self assessment and no PAYE were the targeted audience.

Is it a coincidence that the people still awaiting repayment didn't get the letter?

    Who knows.....

Then again what do I know!

That is correct - I was also told that on Friday. 2020/21 was a bad year for many and the volume of calls has contributed to the backlog.

I asked my parents and also got no letter at my address.  Last week I got a message on website saying I need to fill in my return but I did it on the 6th

Iv had no letter and nothing else come through regarding my self assessment.. just filed my return as normal and still waiting. I didn’t claim any grants or furlough though and a few friends that did have had their money through already.. maybe it’s to do with that ?
  • Hello , I see a few people are having issues.
I filed my return and I’m still unable to even request payment of my refund for 3 weeks now.
Ive always been able to request the payment within a couple of days.
    any advice ?
