Good. Your new tank must have an immersion heater and in my opinion you should insist that it is wired so you can switch it on and off yourself (as I did). Ordinarily you won't need to do that but if there is ever a problem, as there is at the moment, then it will be a fall-back to give you hot water.Reed0

We have hot water. Plumber arrived this morning to discover a switch on the pump was not fully on. All sorted now and all fully operational.0 -

You used to have an immersion heater that you could switch on in an emergency. You still have an immersion heater in your new hot water tank. I feel, as a point of principle, that you should not have been deprived of the option to switch it on in an emergency.Reed0
