Ringtone Question

if it sorts by size I would have thought a ring tone wpuld be a lot smaller file size than a music file

where you can browse for folders once you get into File Manager, but I get no such option. Perhaps they messed up that feature with MIUI 12?

Seems like they have mucked up because i have the note 9t which is the same setup as the R9 and i cannot pick a folder just comes up with tones and music together.
I bought the 9t last week before i done this thread on a bargain plus its 5g.
So i now have 2 Redmi 9 and a Redmi note 9t and got all with-in a month lol. Got to blame MR Switch on Hotukdeals  for making me open my wallet

Thats what it says if you want to change it goes by file size thats why it says bigger to smaller and smaller to bigger there is not much of  alphabetical order apart from the word TYPE that gives a bit of order but there is no A-Z it is strange.

Yeah you are correct only just seen that but still have the same problem with it bring all the tones and music together.

So if it's sorting it by name what's the issue when you can give the ringtone a name starting "AAA" and it will be at the top? Like was suggested in the first post.

Agree with you but they just all come up...Its a pain searching though all the music and tones just to get one tone then you have to start all over again for the next one to be added...File manager don't bring up folders just goes straight to the music/tones.

I have tones of ringtone and music on my phone and it would take quite a while to rename them.
the strange thing is you can be strolling though and some are in the wrong place like you will be upto F and and something beginning with S will be there its a bad setup for the ringtones there's no set A/Z
