Other breakdown cover providers have also now started sneaking in 'specialist equipment' exclusions, including AutoAid who I have been with for years. Bye bye AutoAid! More details on the main breakdown thread but posting a short note here given the above post which is basically the same problem.

Brilliant. Always been the cheapest alternative when doing annual renewal check. Been with them now for 11 years. Had three needs to call them in that time — always quick to arrive, friendly (both call centre and mechanic), sorted the problem, and awaaayyy. Highly recommend.
I agree with the comment above… I discovered StartRescue after after they were highlighted in MSE and have always wondered, over the last armful of years, why MSE seems to omit them for no good reason.
