I have been with Start Rescue for about six years following Green flag doubling my premium because I’d had a call out. I thought that was the point of insurance! I had two call outs in the first year with Start Rescue and there was no change to my premium. I would rate them as excellent. Fast response time, good value, and friendly, efficient customer service. I wouldn’t bother going with anyone else.2

Totally agree! Which? Consumer Mag rates them as the best so can’t understand why they rarely get mentioned on MSE…this sometimes makes me suspicious probably with no reason..
MSE says that with basic rescue they will not attend within 1 mile of home BUT I understand that this is now a quarter of a mile(without Home Assist).
used them a couple of times. Good service and probably the cheapest too.1 -
I left Start Rescue as I had a great offer with Greenflag.....no surprise the renewal like all things connected to their owners insurance group soared, so back with Start Rescue, when I had need of them - they were there promptly and I find them excellent.1

100% recommended, have had 3 cars covered on same policy for approx 5 years paying approx £90 per year total price including home start & national recovery. Have had to use them numerous times, never had to wait more than 45 mins, majority of cases fixed at roadside or home, no issue towing or transporting on other occasions to wherever I wanted to go0

I have been with Start Rescue for about 10 years. Not a rescue organisation in it's own right, but has many other companies who provide recovery. I have had the need to use them twice in all that time, (With no increase in premiums as a result) and have had excellent service on both occasions. The most recent recovery was as a result of a split front tyre valve, with no spare and no means of using the 'tyre weld' kit. I was towing our caravan at the time, which was not an issue. Prompt recovery to a nearby National Tyres depot including the caravan. I have Roadside Assistance; Nationwide Recovery and Home Assistance all for the princely sum of £40.49 annual premium. Start Rescue has an App for your phone to report your breakdown etc. No brainer, I haven't found any comparable cover for this premium. Renewing again at the end of April.0

We've been with Start Rescue for a couple of years now. We have 3 cars and had a bit of a 'wobble' about whether they would 1) cover the classic 26y year old car and 2) cover our ex-PHV with £250K on the clock. Confirmation received - both covered. And one claim in - dealt with (on the drive) within 2 hours.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3661

Very good experience of Start Rescue. My clutch broke recently. Friendly and clear conversation with person on phone (none of this impersonal notifying through an app, like some of the major breakdown companies). Also my choice of garage to repair was just outside geographical range, but it wasn't a problem for them.Would recommend.0

2Dec22: Maybe I did something wrong, but I'd previously got a quote, few weeks ago (before Black Friday) for StartRescue for about £32 via GoCompare (including Home Assist, and £30 excess). Now I needed to renew my Breakdown cover, when I clicked under 'MSE Blagged car breakdown offers' on StartRescue link (assuming I'd then get the MSE discount that way) it took me to a normal-looking Start Rescue website which listed the various types but the one including Home Assist was up around £60. Whoa. So, I ran GoCompare to get quotes, saw StartRescue around £32 (with Home Assist and £30 excess) so selected that, and signed up, gave my debit card details and wallop got charged, but was never given any option along the way to input any discount code first (either MSE's, or a Black Friday code they were advertising also). Did I get a discount or no chance to get one?

I used Quidco.co.uk to get an £11.11 cashback on a 2 star personal policy which covers both my car and motorcycle.Total to pay was £70.73 - £11.11 - so £59.62.I am yet to use their service but am reassured by what I am hearing here.0
