Bank info

Hello, wasn't sure where to post this so thought i would try here.
It has come to my attention that someone has my full name, address, bank account no and sort code. Can they do anything dodgy with this info?

Unlikely.  In the old days we used to send cheques that had all that information on.

They could pay cash into your account buy can't withdraw any. They could set up a direct debit though.

I'm worried they could try and get credit.  Didn't think about direct debits.

I'd suggest setting yourself up with one of the credit report services, and then you'll get a warning if anyone applies for credit in your name.   This is a good idea anyway.

I use Credit Karma, which is free.
